1080p/144Hz G-Sync is also an option. A 1070 should be a good combo with that but you're still looking at around €800-850 for both.

If you are a fan of multiplayer shooters the higher refresh is probably the better option. It depends what size you want as well. I know opinion varies on this but I don't think you should go much higher than 24" at 1080p.

If you want 27"+ or play more single player stuff or slower paced multiplayer games I'd go 1440p/60Hz.

If you want to spend less an RX 580 + a 24" 1080p 144Hz FreeSync monitor is a great option. Around €550 for a similar experience to the 1070 + G-Sync monitor.

Those panels are generally TN though but the 1ms response is a big plus. The colour difference between the 2 is not that much these days anyway.

Or wait for the third party Vega56 cards but all AMD cards are at least €50-100 over their normal pricing atm because of miners.

So have spent the day 'working' (looking at parts to make a custom build), which I will post after I have finished in a new thread for advice, but while we are on the graphics cards... What is the difference with the different models within the 1070 range... There are so many:

I will delve into them at length in my free time, just a small synopsis on their differences would be great!
