Hi,

I recently (this morning) switch to Eir Mobile and am using their 20 Unlimited plan. All seems to be fine at the minute but I am not getting a 4G signal despite my area being covered by it. Do I need to change anything in settings?

I am using an Android phone - One Plus 3.

Thanks.

Hi peejay1986,

Yep, you should just need to change your APN settings. Our settings are below :

Our settings are:
• Connection name: eir Mobile data
• Data bearer: Packet data or GPRS on some handsets
• Access Point Name: data.eir.ie
• Username: N/A
• Prompt password: N/A
• Password: N/A
• Authentication: None
• Homepage: http://m.eir Mobile.ie
[*]

Let me know if that does the trick.

Hi Kevin, cheers for that.

Updated those settings and it's on H+, but doesn't seem to pick up 4G.

Presume it's not the US model of the OP3 ?

Nah, it's the European model.

Hi there Edgar Defeated Mincemeat

I see you say that this is a European model. Was this device purchased on our network?  Have you spoken to anyone in Customer Care to see if all your settings are correctly set up in order to avail of 4G?

In order to avail of 4G, you need a 4G SIM, be on a 4G plan, have a 4G enabled handset, be in in a 4G area & have 4G activated on your account.
