Just to let you know St. Coca's AC are running their charity long run again this year - this time in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.
    https://www.facebook.com/events/1923273071218743/?active_tab=about

This is an organised last long run before the marathon and is free for anybody to come along with any donation welcome on day. What you get on the day is a tough 34km run with a total climb of 208m (DCM has only 171m) so is a great training route, there will be 2 water stops, bike marshals, rescue car and tea and refreshments at the Coca's track at the end. There is a 5k/16k/28/34k option. If you'd like to tag along just let us know on the FB page above and show up on the day.
This was a great success last year with ~150 runners taking part so we are hoping for similar numbers this year.
    Also want to point out
    • This is not a timed race - just a regular long run, no times, no prizes just biscuit cake.
    • Roads are not closed and this is 99% on country roads so usual safety considerations need to be considered.
    • All abilities welcome.
    • We usually use this run as a dress rehearsal for the marathon so food intake, clothes, shoes, everything try to match to race day.
