I've just noticed that you can plug in the cable that comes with them and use them as regular wired headphones. No need to turn them on first.

on my second set of tiso i5, white earphones. on the first pair the rubber covering the press button has become very loose on both earbuds . Right earbud is not charging (it must have been that one that fell to the floor)

Lets see. wish they were black, less conspicuous but that's neither here nor there.

Ordered a set of Tiso i5 bluetooth earphones on 31/7 and they arrived in ireland yesterday. Their awaiting customs clearance now. . I paid €21.30 delivered. What are the chances of them changing me duty ?

Maybe a thread for the i5 chat?

  • Registered Users Posts: 461 ✭✭padjocollins

the tiso i5 chat will surely quiet down . I have recently bought the 40 euro taotronic tt-bh060 and they are great. No complaints what so ever.

IEM? On the ear? Over the ear? ANC? Budget? Wired or wireless?

Plonked for the WF-1000XM3 from Sony. These are new earbud, including ANC and customisable sound shapes. Paid 199 in Schiphol just over two weeks ago. They are really brilliant, so much so I've not used QC35's since.

    https://www.cnet.com/reviews/sony-wf-1000xm3-review/

Brilliant bass response and excellent noise cancelling were my expectations and I've been delighted so far, I did have to switch to the smallest of the included tips to get a good fit for me. I did experiment with the other ones and that was a lesson in frustration as they'd fall out, but with the smallest I get a good seal and they don't move. Excellent product, I'd buy them again if needed.

They seem great, always thought it odd that they're not LDAC compliant - given that it's sony tech - but I guess there's a good reason for that . . .

Glad to hear that someone got a positive result from indiegogo!

Not a referral, but pet peeve of mine, that people don't shorten browser crap from links especially from aliexpress.

Everything incl and after the ? can be removed.

Edit: - Did you get stung for VAT? And was shipping included in the price?

Ordered them 7th July. Supposed to be send 2 weeks ago and only got a confirmation to a tracking number that doesn't work today. Looking at the comments it seems to be an absolute mess and they can't handle the orders. Don't mind waiting but theres a good few unanswered complaints about broken units and people who are trying to return and getting nowhere. I have the Redmi airdots the last few weeks and I'm very happy for the price.

The WF-1000XN had dropped down to €159 last week on amazon France or Germany and I had them in my basket only to sell out before I paid. But after a few reviews it may have been a good thing, and go for the XM3 instead.

    Just looking at those now.

I have been eyeing these up, good to hear a first hand account

I know they aren't specifically designed for it but do you think they would stay in during a run or cycle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 902 ✭✭✭Tazium

Hard to know if they'll stay in for exercise. I run myself, but wouldn't risk it even on a treadmill. They don't have 'wings' to keep them in the ear which is a real pity but I'm hoping that aftermarket sources might get some going.

I think they are secure enough in the ear once you find the right tips that I'd suggest they'll be fine.

I got these Xiaomi blue tooth earphones for about € 18 (not exactly this seller), they're very good and excellent value for money.

More than a few times yeah. But not everyone is familiar with the model or reads/sees this thread. Which brings it back to why not put them in their own thread

just noticed my battery remins at 100% on the bluetooth notification on my phone. I have used it for over 6 hours so its not accurate.

I am assuming this is a phone issue, its a one plus 7 pro?

First time I ever heard of them for swimming was about a few weeks/a month ago... :)
I would never have thought you could get them before then, never really thought about it.
Sorry, wouldn't have a clue, just weird that you asked, and had just heard of them a few weeks ago.
I think the couple I saw were called surge and swimphones or swimplugs or something like that, no idea how good they are.

    Edited:

The 'Surge' are actually H2O - https://h2oaudio.com/ and are on all amazons

The others are called Swimbuds - https://www.underwateraudio.com/products/swimbuds-sport-waterproof-headphones

Aye.. found a lot of those links on Google alright... most of the ear buds in this thread are waterproof but the challenge is finding ones that keep water out too as earplugs are pretty much essential while swimming (me having recently had a nasty ear infection as a result of trapped water).

They also have to be really streamlined.

These look like they might be worth checking out, though they are pricey

Track your heart rate too... handy when swimming 1km :)
