    You look dapper, says Ray.

People would often tell me I looked dapper if I turned up in the office wearing a suit.

I guess I must be naturally paranoid, it just made me think "Do these all think I'm a shambles the rest of the time?"

Christy Hennessy had a terrible singing voice. I never understood his popularity.

    Asbestos is actually great stuff.

Asbestos is one of the reasons why 9/11 happened.

Does Aonghus ring up the people who Joe pretends ring in to Liveline, or does one of the 547 researchers do dat for him, so to speak.

I'd pay money to see PeterTheNinth tell jokes.

I'd wouldn't pay money to see Aonghus do anything.

No Go Pro in those days, the camera was probably the size of a microwave.

Is ray not fairly old himself? Would he be watching kids telly in the 80s?

Aonghus also did the Snooker commentary at the Irish Masters every year.

Clive Everton always called him Angus.

I miss the days when kids tv was interrupted by the Labour Party Conference.

I think it's the fact that having passive Aonghus as producer that has lead to Joe Duffy losing the run of himself on Liveline the last few years. If I was producer of the show I would call Duffy in to a private meeting and give him and ultimatum that he either start treating the callers with a bit of f**king respect or I'd pull the plug.

He would have been around 15 / 16 when that Anything Goes show was on.

I miss the days when kids tv was interrupted by the Labour Party Conference.

Young Skid was always over the moon when it was cut short for the Labour Party Conference.

It was always good to know if Michael O'Leary was confident of returning the Coalition to power.

Don't Forget Your Shovel if you want to get to work,

the only Christy Moore Song Title featured in a UK Number 1
    .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,713 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

The first time I ever heard of Christy Hennessy was my older (but then teenaged) brother saying how much he hated that pr*ck.

Like a lot of teenage anger it was probably unfounded, but I've never been able to shake the impression.

Sing for Christie, but most people watching I would guess are not fans.

I miss the days when kids tv was interrupted by the Labour Party Conference.

I remember back in 1986, Black Beauty was interrupted to tell us all that the Challenger had exploded.. There was an investigation that found out it was the O-rings and the cold weather that caused the Challenger crash.. There was no investigation in to what happened with the horse... :(

    Alternatively,

    "Global Village - With PeterTheNinth"

That would be the greatest show ever !!!!!!!!!!

Why is goal of the month on MOTD2? Should be on both shows.

    Booo.
