Bridging Loan

    Anybody know if it is possible to get a short term bridging loan to purchase a house?

    scenario:

    My mother is looking to sell the family home (no mortgage) and downgrade to something smaller but has no money for a deposit.

    So she needs is a short term loan that would be paid back in full when the sale of the house is complete.

    Is there such a thing?

    Any advice would be appreciated.
