    Is that the darts song?

I wasn't there last week, but in the home match before that one the walk out music was 'All of The Lights' by Kanye feat Rihanna.

Same again on Friday. They played welcome to the jungle during the warm up.

No, I quite like that, its naff and tacky. Somebody said Rianna that sounds likely. I liked the foggy dew last season although it wasnt really the right tempo for getting a roar going but this new one is desperate I think they have a 13 year old girl picking the music.

Turn up the lights in here, baby
Extra bright, I want y'all to see this
Turn up the lights in here, baby
You know what I need, want you to see everything
Want you to see all of the lights

    Restraining order
    Can't see my daughter
Her mother, brother, Grandmother hate me in that order
    Public visitation
    We met at Borders
Told her she take me back
    I'll be more supportive
    I made mistakes
    I bump my head
    Courts suck me dry
    I spent that bread
    She need a daddy
    Baby please,
Can't let her grow up in that ghetto university (all of the lights)

Should resonate with a large portion of the Limerick massive all the same.

Worst thing about John Hayes: He refused the chloning court order issued by Nucifora.

Isn't that Ulsters role in Irish rugby?

Tough one to call this one. I suppose a lot of the Leinster players in the Munster squad have something to prove. That might give them an edge. But will it be enough to beat the donor province? Who knows. Either way I think we can all agree, it will be Leinster players deciding this one.

    Wellity wellity wellity.

I went down to UCD yesterday to watch the lads doing the last full training before this Saturdays hammering of Munster.

One thing of particular interest was a new tackle technique they had all the forwards working on. They had Luke McGrath and JGP wearing this weird Justin Bieber style black hair wig with a little grey patch on it and as soon as one of them would go to kick the ball all the forwards would dive on their standing leg.

It was a bit mad to watch but definitely looked like a specific tactic they are looking to employ in upcoming game(s).

Joe would invade the pitch himself to try and stop it.

On the topic though, has an Irish player ever missed an international because of an injury/ dirty tactics in an interpro

John Hayes got a ban that initially ran up to the night before an international for stamping on Cian Healy. It was events like that, POC thing and a few others that made some posters suggest that the citing process was a bit dodgy.

Now, tbf, Dave is a renowned boot licker and he was just trying to get on Paulie's good side.
But he totally misjudged his timing, just a silly thing for Kearney to do as Paulie is just too humble for those unnecessary outpourings of love

I still to this day believe POC wasn't cited to keep him in the running for Lion's captaincy. It was an Irish citing committee if I'm not mistaken.

I can't remember the exact one (maybe Buer is best for that) but I remember one particular occurrence where Marcus Horan got off for something blatant in order to keep him free for an international.

Ah it was pretty unanimous at the time that he had gotten away with it because it was an Irish citing team and no one wanted to see him left out of the upcoming six nations (I think).

What was really damning was how the IRFU only released a non audio version in the aftermath and destroyed all versions where you could hear Paul on the ref mic.

"See if you're still faster than Zebo after this...." he can clearly be heard screaming at poor Dave as he brings the boot down.

This is the article. I don't exactly remember it either. Thomond2006 has blocked it out, so Buer is probably best!

Munster and Ireland prop John Hayes has had his ban for stamping in the Magners League clash between Leinster and Munster reduced by a week.

The suspension for stamping on the head of Cian Healy during Munster's 30-0 defeat on 3 October was originally due to run until 14 November but will now end on 7 November.

An IRFU statement said the suspension was reduced because the Committee had allowed one week's mitigation based upon Hayes' disciplinary record.

However, as neither Munster nor Ireland have any fixtures from 7 to 14 November, Hayes will not be able to play any extra matches for either side as a result of the reduction. The period in question does not feature any All-Ireland League matches either.

The tighthead prop has already missed Munster's defeat to Northampton in Round One of the Heineken Cup pool stage and will miss their clash with Treviso in Round Two this Saturday.

Munster are also due to play Edinburgh on Friday 23 October and Ulster on Saturday 31 October in the Magners League. They have no match between then and Saturday 5 December, when they are to face the Neath-Swansea Ospreys.

Hayes will also be available for Ireland's November International series, which is due to begin on 15 November with a Test match against Australia.

Now I dunno, but it seems mighty weird that he was given a ban that ran till Saturday 14th of November when Ireland had a game on Sunday 15th of November. It seems even weirder that on appeal they reduced it by a week that included no games.

Citing commissioner was Eddie Walsh for that game.

There have been a few incidents that were completely pathetic and fixed within provincial games. Sexton deliberately kicked Mafi in the face and got 2 weeks. He'd have copped 12 weeks if it was now and probably 6 weeks at the time if it had been an independent process.

Hayes got 5 weeks for deliberately stamping on Cian Healy's face. Again, the incident was worth twice what he got. There have been other incidents that have had a blind eye turned to them.

Horan taking BOD out off the ball with a shoulder charge. Shane Jennings and SOB probably have spent a combined season on the side lines in total for some of their enthusiastic rucking.

Leo Cullen thumped Ian Keatley under the posts about a decade ago and go away with it, I recall. Should have got 6 weeks, easy.

Was in April. Would have impacted his Lions preparation but, more importantly, Munster had a HEC semi final 2 weeks later which he would definitely have been ruled out of. That was the real reason they ignored it.

    Stop posting #FAKENEWS.

Hayes tried to save Healy from violent hornets that were trying to eat Healy's face.

Wasn't the Horan shoulder charge just before he got up to tackle another player and then made a break and an out the backdoor pass to Sexton?

He went down, was getting medical attention and jumped up to make a tackle but the ball went out of play shortly after that. The reverse pass was in that game but in the second half on the far side of the pitch.

Forget the red card, forget the scoreline.

Backline - Reddan, Sexton, Fitzgerald, Darcy, BOD, Horgan Nacewa.

Crowd - Amped up to the max, flags everywhere. Chants of "EZ, EZ, EZ". It looks like Ravenhill there.

We need to bring that interpro back to the RDS. That looks like no Leinester match I've been to in years.

No fear of Leinster missing out on the extra cash from having this in the Aviva. I'd imagine if Munster could get away with it, they'd probably move the reverse fixture to the Aviva too.

It was the crest of the Leinstertainment wave. I don't think moving the fixture is all we need to do. It might require a trophy or two to build that atmosphere.

(well kinda the surge before the crest, it was after Cheika's Chosen brought us the success we deserved - and it was the same year we found ourselves in The Stoop)

    "Folks,

Following the attack at the Manchester Arena during the summer, the Aviva upped their security for concerts & sporting events. I haven't heard if they'll be in place for Saturday but just thought I'd mention it. Here's what the FAI posted prior to the game against Austria.

    Safety & Security
Supporters travelling to Aviva Stadium are advised to arrive at least one hour ahead of kick-off to get through security and they are reminded of new security measures:

    - Aviva Stadium Management are introducing a “No Bag Policy” to all events in the stadium

    - It is important that supporters do not bring any bags or rucksacks to the game

    - Searching procedures will be in place at all entry points and because of this it is advisable all supporters arrive a little earlier than normal

They did actually let bags into the stadium but they were all searched, so it might be better to avoid bringing them."

If Munster can't bring extra baggage, then that means Duncan Williams is out of the matchday squad.

If this is the article in question, it is indeed a beauty:
The start of the Lions tour is upon us but with a lack of brilliant talent at their disposal I am very worried about Brian O'Driscoll. He was on the winning side in the Heineken Cup final and good luck to him. But anyone taking a sober or neutral view would have deduced that the spring and the pace in his legs were completely absent. If a visitor from Mars had arrived at Murrayfield, he would quickly have come to the conclusion that the great centres on the field were Danny Hipkiss and Ayoola Erinle of Leicester.

A few months ago, the Irish nation seemed to rise up as one at my insistence that O'Driscoll was by no means a certain selection for the Test matches on the Lions tour. I said that as part of our round table discussion on Lions selection, which attracted an incredible 650,000 hits on The Times website.

Some people concluded that I was winding up the Irish and, admittedly, they as a nation are in the Kiwi category when it comes to a total failure to spot irony. But the truth is, that I meant it. O'Driscoll, beyond any doubt, has been an all-time great for Ireland. He has never been the most consistently brilliant of players although that might have something to do with the fact that he has played in quite a few ropey Irish sides. His record with the Lions, the only true arbiter of all-time greatness, is not remotely in the same league as someone like Jeremy Guscott, who not only played in three consecutive Lions series, two of which the Lions won, but also turned some of those Tests with his own brilliance.

Yet O'Driscoll is clearly influential. He scored killer tries at key stages of Ireland's victories over England and Wales last season. As an extra flanker with his strength and competitiveness over the ball, he was outstanding. Yet the Lions want him to be the old Brian, with the old pace and cutting edges out wide. It seems to me that he has lost a considerable amount of the old surge and gas. In some of his breakaway tries this season he has almost been overhauled when well clear and on Saturday even his hour of triumph was clouded as he ended the match limping unhappily on the wing. These days, few matches go by without him having to undergo protracted treatment.

Let us hope and pray that he has some brilliant matches left in the tank and that he is just fooling us. I can tell you now that he will hardly play for the Lions before the first Test in a bid to keep him fresh. Let us hope that he is rejuvenated.

The buzz around rugby at the moment is that the replacement Lions, who have come in for the players who have to miss the tour, are all improvements. There is one position in which the change is not beneficial. Tom Shanklin, the Welsh centre, was in the form of his life, and unless O'Driscoll can re-discover himself with the ball in hand, then the loss of Shanklin will be the cruellest blow.

There is no question in my mind, that a fit Shanklin would have played 13 in the Tests.
