    Hi,
    I was just wondering if anyone knows how long i will be waiting for an appointment in the gynaecology department in Portlaoise Hospital?

    I was referred last year and had an appointment in 6 months.

    Ok thank you, did you have symptoms? Ive been in pain for nearly a year now and only got the courage to go to the doctor about it a month ago and i dont think i can wait the 6 months :/

    You might be better off paying to see him privately or go in through A&E. I was ok, I wasnt in pain.

    I can't afford to go private unfortunately.. I think I'll ring them tomorrow and see what they say and hopefully get in sooner
