Was he always his quick? He seems to have caught them on the hop.

Hate to harp on about it but Griffin being 23 could haunt us- having to have Crosbie 15 now instead of having option of Leader or Ili (Kelleher/Healy could slot to FB)

Stockdale is a delight to watch

Thought he tackled him early tbh.

Think he only caught him when the outhalf had started to spill. Close call though tbf.

Here's a tribute to the Ulster Director of Rugby

Yep too many handling errors again, particularly Treadwell and Piutau...but Ulster look a bit more direct and Marshall and McCloskey are going well in the midfield...so far...

I don't remember his top speed being all that impressive, but he has a deceptively good sidestep and decent acceleration. I was under the impression that kelleher was one of the fastest players in Ireland.

    Herbst is thoroughly unimpressive.

    Some waste from that lineout

and yet again another Ulster handling error

Finding it increasingly difficult to concentrate on the game with all the paint drying around me.

WTF was wrong with that poach? Made the tackle, clearly released, went back and won it fairly. Ulster player went off his feet trying to clear out, if anything should have been a Conn penalty

  • Registered Users Posts: 573 ✭✭✭Hastentoadd

connacht look devoid of any ideas

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,166 ✭✭✭✭Zzippy

Connacht playing like 15 lads who've never met each other. How are Ulster only 3 up?

I might even turn over the the football

As soon as it looks like something interesting is about to happen, the ball is spilled......or some other error.

    THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!

    Sigh...

That's the first time we put proper solid passes together. Man Tom!

Ah that was a great bit of offloading that eventually led to the try. Lovely try for Connacht......despite the best efforts of the commentators to find a forward pass.

Looked forward live but ok on replay.

Ulster constantly spilling the ball.....is this what they were doing last week?

Yep. I'd say telegraphed but they're so slow it's more Pony Express

    and another Ulster handling error

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,047 ✭✭✭Bazzo

Lads is Robbo always this bad or is he especially poor tonight, I'd say about 50% of his statements are in any way accurate. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Well Ulster had the bulk of the posession in that half and no sign of a try.....going in to half time behind. That's pretty shocking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,166 ✭✭✭✭Zzippy

Half time. Kiss to work his magic in the dressing room. Ulster lose by 20. Awec arrested for trashing his apartment

    I'll take that
Connacht have let Ulster have most of the ball who, bar Stockdale, look a tad toothless (which is very surprising considering their backline on paper)

    Scrum is going Very well
    Hontafuq

    Ferris fuming

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,238 ✭✭✭✭Diabhal Beag

    Lot of positives from that:
    Great last ditch tackling :)
    Lineout good
Ultan getting back into his mojo
Ja having a stormer and unlucky to get pinged
    Scrum good

Gonna be gutting when we lose this though

Ferris and Wallace going nuts......especially Ferris......he's just raging!

Feel dirty switching from tg4 to BBC at ht for a Ferris meltdown but it may pay dividends

never trust a 'backline on paper'. Have to say, as a spectacle this is the worst game I have witnessed in some time. Ulster are muck and Connacht are clueless. Who will win such a game. Really hard to say

So, half-time here and I'm joined by Connacht coach Kieran Keane. Kieran, close first half but your team leads 5-3.

    Dunno.

What do you mean "dunno"? They do lead by 5-3 don't they?

    You tell me.

Ok...well I'm telling you your team is leading by 5-3. You must be happy to be leading away to Ulster.

    Dunno.

What do you mean "dunno"? You are happy to be leading aren't you?

    You tell me.

Ok...ok...well that was Connacht coach Kieran Keane...whose Connacht team leads 5-3 at half time...and I think he's happy?!

'Unacceptable' according to Fez. He's right. It's very poor from Ulster, but I'd expect them to come out flying in the second half.

They’re right. Fez is a one eyed Ulster fan but he won’t butter it up.

Tonight had continued last weeks farce.

Would love to hear what’s being said in the dressing room.

Stay on BBC, the commentary is the best part of the game so far

That's what I fear. We've been here before... hopefully Cooney remembers all the rides he got in Galway and throws a few kack passes "by mistake"...

As said above, it's gonna be awful when Connacht inevitably lose this game
We won't have a better chance imo

Crosbie doing ok but jaysus wish we had TOH out there

Sounds like Coetzee is gone for the season reading between the lines there.

Dont think tOH would make the slightest bit of difference. This is the designated muck game of the year

Think Bealham sent little Cooney into space with a late one there
