Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My 5 year old has fallen asleep on me, and I only have one free arm. It's either the remote or the mobile!

Mute and enjoy the silence not only from the little 1 but those kids on the tv as well ;)

Awful miss by Long. Take him off ffs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,120 ✭✭✭justshane

I said it before the game and I'll stand by it, Long shouldn't be starting. He's not a finisher. It's beyond a joke at this stage. I genuinely believe Maguire could have had a hatrick had he started.

  • Oh dear Long

Actually feel sorry for Long at this stage nothing going right for him at all, he seriously can't start in Wales we can't afford to miss guilt edge chances

He is leaving Long on to try and get a goal hoping he does and has the eye for goal back on Monday.

Shane Long is the whipping boy on here tonight amongst the whingers. They need something to moan about.

Agree. Came to him quickly. All he could do is adjust his body and deflect the ball but he didn't have the time to control the trajectory. Anyone who has played the game at any level would probably understand that.

It looks like it's going the complete opposite way though. Confidence level getting even lower

Have we reverted back to our old ways? Few subs in now to living things up would do nicely

Leave it off lad you cannot deny he is piss poor the last year. Because we have a different opinion to you we are whingers???? The stats dont lie do they? He has had a shocker tonight and unfortunately it is too much of a regular thing.

The other chances he missed in the first half were more glaring opportunities. The usual crew on here jumping up and down when he missed that 2nd half chance shows you how clueless they are.

Yes, he was unlucky with what he did. A player with confidence might have taken a touch

Its rolls reversed, were playing like maldova in the first half and vice versa

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Some how weve reverted to type and started lumping balls and treating it like a hot egg, cant keep the f**king thing.

A better side would punish us.

Longs miss earlier should have seen him taken off ASAP. Hes had an absolute nightmare.

Ah now, I think he's been brutal tonight but how would he have taken a touch?! Defender was on top of him.

Hardly takes balls. Perhaps a little imagination and forward-thinking. Not sure MON has those qualities either though.

Not understanding why Houlihan has not been taken off already to rest up for Wales.

I'm a big fan of Long but on recent evidence I'm worried about him starting against Wales.

As I said in an earlier post though, most of the other options are unproven, so I can definitely see why MON is persevering with him. Hopefully his quality comes through.

And once again MON tactics come to the fore.

    Boring, boring, boring. Hoofball.
    Hold what we've got.

    Man's a dinosaur.

You can't complain in this country without being labelled a begrudger or whinger. We are entitled to expect more from Long. In fact I would venture that our players get away quite lightly compared to other nations
