Duquesnoy has really slowed down his output in this third round

Joe just said the same thing!

Firekid seemed to gas badly in that fight after the 2nd round

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,226 ✭✭✭qwabercd

Said it after his last fight, duquesnoy has great offense but some holes in his game too. Disappointed that he lost as that will put him back in the queue a bit but there's still a lot of room for improvement.

Sick of this sh!t about DJ beating the record...... he is fighting nobodies.

Silva to get his record beat Sonnen x2, Leben, Maia, Belfort, Griffin etc.... The runs are not comparable

But you'll suck the farts out of Conor's cinema seat because he beat legends like siver and brimage?

Silva was also juiced off his tits for the duration of his reign and his "legacy" should now be destroyed.

Since coming back from his ban and finally fighting clean, he has lost to Bisping, Cormier, and was gifted a terrible decision win against Brunson which he clearly lost.

    It was all a myth.

Yeah but to be fair he is returning after a severe leg break and he is like 50 :pac:

Is this PPV running a little later than normal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Godbeer got his show and win money, and avoids a fight that he was probably going to lose anyway and get cut after.

I think this has worked out nicely for him.

Yep. The remembrance stuff at the beginning has it about 15-20 minutes behind normal schedule.

There's 5 fights on this main card too. Long night!

No way they would have cut him, Heavyweights need to lose a lot to get cut. He is 1-1, he would at least have got one more chance if he got cut imo.

Good for him getting that show/win money though, he can now take another fight soon and get paid again.

Beautiful stuff, it's almost impossible to grasp the enormity of what they are experiencing in Vegas. Dunham sure as hell demonstrated VegasStrong --unreal comeback.

It seems to me like that judges are using the new criteria while scoring the fights, even though Nevada hasn't adopted the new rules?

I was thinking that myself. Looks awful to be honest. He seems to look much younger/ healthier in his podcast.

I had an energy drink at 12:30 and then took a sleeping tablet at about 3:30 so it would kick in around half 5. :( Hopefully this fight ends quickly

    Get ready to witness history.

It's extremely hard to see him being beaten any time soon either. He could rack up an insurmountable amount of defences which may never be broken in our lifetimes.

I hope he just keeps pouring on the wins and doesn't bother with any "super fights".

Brunson win was lucky, but you can't hold that against him and not question losing to Bisping in England

I like DJ but this division is incredibly weak. It's an impressive record.....but its impressive in the same way that Ronda was. With an asterisk. She beat soccer moms and got creamed against the first actual fighter she fought.

DJ's situation is a little better but not much. A serious lack of talent on offer and if he moves up in weight again, he'll probably lose again.

That was one of the clearest 48-47's you will ever see IMO. 3 rounds to 2 was absolutely the correct decision for me.

Look at how many media guys felt the same:

Bisping won that fight. Only salty Anderson fans thought any different.

DJ should have taken that TJ fight. It would have got him more money and if he won more credibility.

The fight was very close. Firs time I watched it I thought it was clearly an Anderson win, when I rewatched it I can see how Bisping won.

Bisping fight clearky lost under 10-point must scoring

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

So DJ sees Bisping hand picking fights against pensioners, Conor fighting Nate twice, Dom Cruz fighting Cody who's outside the top 5, etc, etc, etc, but he's getting **** for turning down a fight with TJ who's never made 125 and has struggled to make 135 at times?

People need to catch on to themselves.

That one round was AT LEAST 10-8, bisping was literally knocked out and saved by the bell.
