    Hi,

I bought a LG 26LV250U from yourselves a good few years ago now.  Also got a 32" LG as well - 32LN540V.  Things have changed and I was going to use the 26LV250U as a monitor for home working if possible.

However, I can't get the screen resolution to be crisp enough.  I've connected using HDMI.

Is this screen capable of being used as a monitor?  If so, do you know what I need to do in the settings?  Basically the test in my apps appear to be a bit jagged.

    Thanks.

    Hi Funkey_Monkey.

It can be used as a monitor for your PC but you would need to check the output resolution of your PC as it maybe set too high to the LG.

We use an old Samsung 24" as one of our monitors on our shopfloor and it has ran for years with no issue via VGA.
I think your LG is about 6 years old at this point but it should still function for a monitor even though it is only HD ready.

The resolution for our PC's for an older screen is 1680 x 1050 which is usually the standard. Just check yours is not set higher or lower or you could change this to see if it effects the sharpness.

Thanks - tried that via HMDI but no step change in improvement.
Would VGA be a better option?

As an aside, what sort of deals/discount would you have for 2 x 42" TV's?  (Or around that size).

Tried VGA, but it gave me limited options - could not get near 1680x1050 with a VGA connection.  TV setup only allowed 4:3 and 16:9 with VGA, whereas with the HMDI it allowed more - plus the Auto Scan option.

    Hi Funkey_Monkey.

The setting in meant are on the PC and not the television.

If you go into the display settings on your PC you should find it there.

You might have already tried that but just in case.
