Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why not just play Alexis instead of iwobi and lacazette up front, iwobi has offered nothing going forward or defensively in his last few appearances.

No lacazette against pool or city????????

Doesn't trust his biggest ever money signing.

    Says a lot.

Heard nothing of him carrying a knock so it's a bit of stupid one not to play him

I'm just hoping it doesn't get embarrassing, city are so far ahead of everyone else and are lethal on the break. Looks like Wenger is going defensive and hoping to catch them with a break.

    That's a crazy line up.

No idea why its not Ozil, Sanchez and Laca up front

Just got a sky sports notification:

Aguero and Sterling start for City while Coquelin and Iwobi start for Arsenal.

    That about sums it up.

Optimism is only encouraged by history.

    It’s realism.

    Thats one bizzare comparison.

Thought our front three was looking pretty good lately. Strange move.

But Shur I've seen this 100 times over. We're on some bit of a run after some bit of a disaster, hopes are up going into a big game, nailed on to be defeat here. It's the cycle, it doesn't change.

    City 4
    Arsenal 1

    5-2 I would have said!

Arsene often criticized for not adapting to the opposition - well he's certainly doing that today. Iwobi played very well and did a great job in our last away match against top 4 opposition. Perhaps that's why he got the nod today.

I've bet on City to win either

    3-1
    4-1
    5-1

Our goal coming from an 88th minute Giroud strike when we're already humiliated.

    Prove me wrong Arsenal.

Expecting a hiding if I'm honest. Backed City minus 2

Thought we were at home for some reason. Can somewhat understand our lineup now!

We’ve actually a good record playing city but I do fear for us today more than ever.

    Fingers crossed. COYG.

Yep centre 3 of Coq and Monreal with Kos.
    Already all over the shop

City break caused completely by Sanchez's pathetic corner followed by pathetic pass.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,307 ✭✭✭DarraghF197

Sanchez trying to murder us already

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,678 ✭✭✭Marcus Antonius

Nearly Sanchez first assist for City there ffs

Can't believe we are starting with Sanchez up front. What an absolute total waste of time.

I'm happier with Coquelin starting at CB than Sancez starting at CF.

Are there no match threads any more?

Sure it would just be us commenting on the game along with United/Pool/Chelsea supporters popping in to give us grief if we get a beating.

Convinced I could kick a better corner than Sanchez or Özil.

Or a free!! That was awful

How was that not a yellow for Stones?

Dunno if my heart can deal with the fact that every time they come forward out defence look like headless chickens. Xhaka doing his best there to help them (City) out there

How did City not score there? Crazy defending.

Let me get this straight. We are playing a back 3 of Kos - Coq - Monreal with Bellerin and Kolasinac up the flanks and a 2 man midfield of Ramsey and Xhaka? That is insane.

We would be a lot better off with Coq staying forward in the midfield.

Strolled straight through us for a goal. Pathetic.

Should have been saved. Pity as I thought arse were well set here so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,111 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Took longer than I expected for the first goal tbh. Absolutely shambolic at the back as usual.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,435 ✭✭✭wandatowell

    Yawn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,264 ✭✭✭✭jester77

wtf, there were at least 2 stupid passes in there, where we gave it back to them.

Wenger is trolling us. He makes insane selections in big games. Why would you play Coq at CB? I would rather have Debuchy or Elneny in there, and that's really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

What's the fücking point even? Why

Ha ha sterling you dope (thank god)

Feel like Sanchez is a ticking time bomb here. Luckily he can only do so much damage when he's far up the pitch. Would like to see Laca on at half time but that's not going to happen.

Remember when Arsenal were a team that could pass it between teammates?

I'd get rid of Ozil and Sanchez, bring on Giroud and Jack.

Once again, a Sanchez corner puts us under pressure. Ridiculous stuff.

.....and Sanchez passes to them again for another break. Sick to death of him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,307 ✭✭✭DarraghF197

Sanchez what the f*ck are you at

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭brianregan09

We've no threat going forward , Sanchez looks isolated he's more or less playing across the front 3 himself , Iwobi is too deep and Ozil is gone for Mcdonalds

Can someone please tell Sanchez at half time he hasn't signed for City yet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

Ramsey and Iwobi have been shocking

He's been absolutely awful today. Should make sub but won't. Sure look at the lineup today and that reaffirms the fact Wenger's gone off the deep end

Couldn't believe that line up today.
Wenger clearly playing for a point.
De Bruyne walking through us. We have no defence.
Wonder what Wenger will do now? Probably complain and wait until 70 mins when we're 3 down to change something.

Both been better than Sanchez and Ozil, though.
