Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey guys that time of the week again looking questions for ep22 of the BP Zone ;)

Does Chambers have a future at the club in your opinion?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,692 ✭✭✭emmetlego

Did Mike Dean enjoy punishing Arsenal? (Of course he did the wee ***).
What would form Arsenal's best back four since the inception of the EPL?
Pick our best 11 since the EPL began?
Is Wenger really being shoved out by the Board?

    Wow-a-rama.

I'm even arguing with myself over those ones! Great Q's Tayto.

Read these a good while back. My answers that I'm still fighting with myself with are:

    Dixon Adams Sol Winterburn

Seaman Dixon Adams Sol Winterburn Vieria Ljunberg Pires Fabregas Bergkamp Henry.

Yes. Absolutely. The backroom appointments, especially the "NOT" director of football definitely signal a change...

And then I'm still disagreeing with myself before I hit the "Submit Reply"... A feic it. POST!

    I'd go with:

    Dixon Adams Sol Cole

    Best 11:

Seaman, Dixon, Adams, Sol, Cole, Pires, Vieira, Petit, Overmars, Bergkamp, Henry

Could never bring myself to vote for Cashley over Nigel.

I know you're not asking me, but in my family, we all rate Holding ahead of Chambers.

Fair play to Wenger. When he complained about the standard of refereeing after Dean gave that Chambers handball against WBA, he said how poor the standards were in the EPL and that none of our referees would make it to the World Cup. Well guess how many English referees are going to Russia. 0 !

Yeah, but that's mainly because Clattenburg retired and then the FA requested to put forward a replacement (which I'm guessing isn't standard practice) they were declined.

Yes but most of us are well used to bad refereeing and we can take that because it's bad for both sides.
Dein to me was clearly biased against Arsenal which is entirely different and reeked of corruption imo.

No game for ages now and then nothing competitive.
This has been one of the worst years to be an Arsenal fan for me anyway.

I'm hoping we beat Stoke and that they're relegated. Detest their neanderthal fans and style of football.

Actually yes, helping Stoke go down would be great. One of the few league games left with any meaning.

Wenger can cling on the more games we win, so meaningless, perhaps not. Depends on the perspective.

As for no English referee at the World Cup, first time in 80 years. If Dean is the standard....crikey, then no surprises.

Whether it's this year or some other year soon, Stoke will eventually get relegated, just like Bolton Wanderers. Well deserved it'll be too, mainly for their fans.

Just wondering was Nacho Monreal injured for a while and is he nailed on for a comeback v Stoke?

Asking from a FF perspective so thanks for any replies this morning:)

Or would Mustafi be a safer bet?

I still look forward to the league games, just to see how Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan (to a lesser extent) get on. Would be great to have them fully settled and firing for the start of the new season. Hoping Lacazette gets back on form too, as there is definitely a top player there. Would hate to see him leave without getting a proper chance.

No guarantees but I imagine Monreal will start

When there's nothing at stake they might as well be friendlies.

You'd wonder how mid-table teams fans get on with it? I'll happily watch. Especially after that boringness of an international break.

Indeed. Mid-table teams never challenge for titles so they're used to it. We're heading that way unfortunately by the looks of things.

I just like watching football man

If I ever reach the level of negativity some around here have, I'm watching a different sport. Yes it's a bad season, yes Wenger needs to go, we know.

Funny old thread. I'm pretty certain we all follow Arsenal. I'm pretty certain we all carry a large amount of disdain for Stoke. I thought today's game would have at least stirred up some commentary, as we could add a nail to Stoke's coffin with a win. I'd like nothing more today!

And Cech not starting would say to me that he’s taking over the Europa cup games now?

Wilshere looking for a new contract??
Pulls out of the England squad but ready to play for us.

Did I see Steve Bould doing a pre match press conference on Sky News earlier?
    Thats rare enough isn't it?

"Groin issue" according to The Guardian.

A win for Arsenal today at the Emirates would see them secure back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time since November.

    Ah, Stoke City.

These guys are responsible for my one and only yellow card in the football forum.

    Hope we batter them.

Lots of empty spaces in the crowd again but not as bad as the last few games.

Some very timid attempts at tackles before that.

Yes. There'll be nobody at the next game either.
