Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Our passing has been abysmal this entire season. It used to be a strength.

Yes. There'll be nobody at the next game either.

Who can blame them? This is dire

    What is Mustafi at?

Thinks he's Pirlo or something, keeps giving it away.

Jack just passed straight to one of them. 2 mins ago Elneny did the same thing. I think it's a tactic.

Yesterday Man City broke a premier league record by being the away team with the highest percentage of possession (82%).

Maybe we're trying to make them lose that record by giving the ball back to Stoke so much?

Unlucky from Ramsey. Nice turn from him to set Bellerin into space as well.

    Inventive from Ramsey. Unlucky!

Starting to play a little now. At last!

First 20 mins, no urgency, no tempo and can’t pass to save our lives. Next 4 mins, we up it a small bit and nearly score! What a frustrating team to support.

Case of the pot calling the kettle black for me. Few bigger idiots who have represented the club than Frimpong ! !

Not the brightest tool in the shed by any means but id still prefer him to Nasri as a person. As a player obviously Nasri was far more talented.

Mustafi and Wilshere have been so poor

For all his faults, Mustafi has had a few important defensive interventions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Just as well Stoke are so poor. This has been nothing short of dreadful

Very poor first half from The Arsenal against a poor Stoke side. A lot of sloppy passing giving the ball away. Suppose no point getting annoyed as it’s a nothing game for us, but means a lot for them.

Only Arsenal can get booed off at half time in a dead rubber game in which their opponents haven't had a shot on target.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,676 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

I love Wilshere, but he's poison today.

Except that Arsenal fans pay extortionate amounts to endure this shíte. Championship winning prices for a mid table team really.

Ok to a degree i dont think booing serves much purpose at half time but the team should be man enough to up the ante and pull their socks up for the second half.

Some of them just like watching football.

    I don't like watching this football :(

Reminds me of a comment a co-commentator made to the main commentator on Tipp FM during a hurling match last year

"Wake me up if i nod off will you?" :D

    Poor auld Welbeck !!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,111 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Can anyone explain to me why Welbeck is at the club, or what does he offer to the side at all? I really cannot think of even the tiniest thing he is good at.

Lacazette...good to see him back...be needed for the Europa...that Welbeck lad is awful

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,111 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

There were a few posts earlier saying how bad Frimpong was. Reallistically, Welbeck is just as bad a footballer if not worse.

Penalty. I wonder who'll take it.

    Nicely taken, and lovely flip.

    Finally

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,111 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Well slotted home. Exactly what ya want from a penalty taker. Nothing fancy and just hits it with pace.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,692 ✭✭✭emmetlego

It was coming. Better 2nd half. That wouldn’t have been hard at all mind you!

Ah now. Welbeck is a bottom tier Premier League player probably.

Frimpong plays for Ermis Aradippou. Who? Exactly.

Monreal has turned into a rubbish striker.

    :-))
Ramsey had been awful this game. Backwards passes, no penetration and giving the ball away far too easy in unpressurised situations. Just awful.

I must admit, I didn't watch 15 mins of the second half, but he's far from our worst player

His first touch is attrocious. Easily the worst of any player I've seen for Arsenal for a very long time. He can't hold up a ball. Swings for air nearly as much as he connects with a ball. Can't really connect with a ball well enough to say he has a good shot. Doesn't provide many if any assists, at least not intentionally. He isn't good in the air.

I'm genuinely failing to see how he's a professional player at all.

Another for Auba! We can relax.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,111 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Is Jack Butland a good keeper or does he just make simple saves look good?

5 goals in 6 games for Auba. Not a bad return

So far he is answering Tayto's question about where Sanchez's lost goals will come from.

    Another peno?

I don't actually disagree. But he's done some things at least, few goals vs Man Utd, Leicester winner, Galatasaray hat trick, few against Milan. He's not good enough but Frimpong was nothing more than a crap meme.

    Absolutely brainless defending.

Aubameyang turning down a hat trick chance.... strange

    Pleased for Laca

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,111 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Weird to see Lacazette denying the hat trick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,111 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Extremely selfless from Auba there. You don't see that too often

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

Probably better for Lacazette to grab a goal, doesn't look like Auba's lacking for them anyway.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,299 ✭✭✭JenovaProject

I missed what happened was Laca fouled...why didn't Auba go for his hat trick?
