Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ah Stoke, couldn't happen to a better club.

Ramsey had been awful this game. Backwards passes, no penetration and giving the ball away far too easy in unpressurised situations. Just awful.

    Man of the match :D

    How was that 3-0 :D

I absolutely had him in our worst performers bracket. Felt Aubamayang deserved it personally.

Fair play to Auba. Laca needed the lift and we need him for EL.

Separately anyone got a recipe for the Leinster match I'm out and about now

A better second half, good to see Aubameyang and Lacazette on the scoresheet. Another 3 points at home to Stoke, don’t think they have ever got a point at the Emirates before?

Be one of the best things of the season to see Shawcross, Adam, Crouch and their fans relegated

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,692 ✭✭✭emmetlego

Just watching some replays and I noticed the classless clowns singing the “Aaron Ramsey walks with a limp” song again. That’s inciting violence among supporters I feel

Only saw the goals there. Was there anything done today by the club for Rocky Rocastle day?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,676 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Dunno. There was some singing of the Rocky Rocastle song alright.

Delighted to see Auba step aside and let Laca bang in that peno. He was our best player when he came on.

Couldn't help noticing we were miles better after the substitutions. Particularly, and I hate saying it, the first one.

Yeah though laca looked very sharp when he came on, and some great touches.

The highlight of the 1st half was listening to 3 fellas behind me discussing different ways to cook Sea bass.

I think the papers are going into silly season earlier than normal...so far this morning I've seen:

    Bale to the Emirates
    Benzema to the Emirates
    Ramsay to Man U

Think I'll start buying the Beano

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

    Benzema? What is this, 2009?

Exactly my thought, he's 30 I think ? - Maybe Wenger is reliving his youth

Apparently it will be a triple swoop with Stebastian Frey and Hatem Trabelsi as well

Jesus lads imagine if we got Klopp two years ago. This is depressing.

And our lad says we're back on track after our crisis. He ain't leaving anytime soon. It will be same 'ol next year.

Of course we are. We'll go on a decent run now till the end of the season and maybe even get a couple of scalps along the way. We always do when there's no pressure.

I see Cech is said to be fit by today according to Physioroom, I gather that means he’ll start tonight?

    Hope so.

If Lacazette doesn't start I'm gonna be very upset.

Trying not to think about it till later.

Laca just has to start...he seemed sharp enough when coming off the bench against Stoke...otherwise it's Welbeck *shudders*

There's an arseblog column on Welbeck here:

    https://arseblog.com/2018/04/alls-welbeck-that-ends-welbeck/

Seems odd that the initial deal Arsenal wanted was only a loan, and ended up handing him a 5 year contract. I would expect him to be moved on this summer while he still has some value, hopefully he is willing to leave though.

What is Steve Bould's role at the club?
Do you think Ospina is first choice for the club or is the recent role reversal only down to the newfound importance of the EL?
Who's your favourite poster on the Boards Arsenal thread?
Ramsey or Wilshere - Only one stays - which is your pick?
How do you feel about Ox scoring last night? Do you feel he justifying his move?

With the league being over for us this season I'm super excited for Thursday night football.

Looking at a 2-0 win for Arsenal. Ramsey to score.

Who should we be targeting to plug the holes in our defence?
    Who would strengthen our midfield?
Should we be looking at our training methods?
Are some players getting special treatment i.e. extra time off / holidays?
What do we need to do to mount a challenge?

I think it's to tell Wrighty who's looking good on the training ground.

Arsenal XI v CSKA Moscow: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Xhaka, Ramsey, Mkhitaryan, Wilshere, Ozil, Lacazette

    Thats actually a decent team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,676 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

    Come on Arsenal.

Yes, we're gimps, but we can also bang 'em in at home.

    Come on for f*ck sake!

What's the least you'd be happy going to Moscow with? Would take a nice 2-0 here, 1-0 wouldn't be terrible either. In short, CSKA scoring nil is preferable.

I don't think there's any score I'd be comfortable with. If we win 5 nil, we are still well able to arse it up over there.

Looking good going forward so far but Hector has been poor at RB and caught out twice already.
