Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Largely controlled the game but never really looked like scoring apart from a few decent chances after going behind. Penalty decision was woeful but disappointing that that’s all we really have to talk about. Not a great game to watch and not overly encouraging for the likes of Giroud, Welbeck & Iwobi who should all be trying to impress

I saw a lot of players giving energy, but no co-ordinated play as a team. I'm really not sure what the game plan was...if indeed there was one

The most concerning thing for me last night, was the lack of guile, effort and willingness from the fringe players especially Iwobi, Giroud, Coq, Elneny and maybe even Debuchy, although why he was one of the back 3 and Chambers was the wing back, was just beyond me! Anyway, I felt Jack looks like he's worth a shot in a game with better players around him. He never stopped trying to pass, move and tracked back and tried to defend. He has that bit of class about him, and I thought you could see that last night.

Rob Holding seemed way off the pace. Maybe that was because of the players around him, but he was turned a few times by players way below standard of who he played against before. Was he injured or ill? Good to see Danny back, he's a good bench option and would be above Theo on my team sheet.

Poor result, but that was a dodgy penalty at best. Not too concerned by it to be honest, I'll only get interested in the competition if we get to 1/4 final stage.

Messi just signed a new contract at Barca.

Guess that rules that option out :o

Great opportunity to overtake Spurs after they slipping up against West Brom,Burnley will be very hard bet having said that but if Wenger starts with Ozil,Sanchez and Laccazette we will surely have too much for them.

No özil, not even on the bench

Yeah I wonder what the reason is? He has missed quite a lot of matches already this season.

Team is still on the coach apparently. Road Traffic Accident has delayed them. This won't end well.

Apparently Ozil is ill  Seems to have a pretty poor immune system, always sick that lad.

Apparently its freezing up there. Windy and sleeting. Lets see if they're up for this

We're sitting back letting them come at us which is a recipe for disaster.
We are not pushing up and pressing them at all and allowing them to build from the back. Madness.
Burnley should be ahead already. Hit the post.

    ooh, great ball by Laca

Ramsey ffs, for a "goalscoring midfielder" he skies a lot of easy chances.

    Mustafi another great defensive block.

Nah it was a very tough chance but he should score more goals than he does with the chances he gets (generally speaking).

    Wasn't that difficult, come on.

For a natural right-footer that's a pretty tough one to take. He should have got it on target, though.

Robbie’s not playing for Ireland today so he can f*ck off with that sh1te.

We could do with a few intelligent footballers. We have good players but some of them are brainless.

Foul given against Ramsey for trying to head a ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

A very poor first half for Arsenal.
We are not doing enough to win this.

  • Moderators Posts: 8,725 ✭✭✭x PyRo

That free against Ramsey is as bad a decision as you'll see. Lee Mason is braindead.

    Jack on. Good.
We might get a telling pass now.
We have to be the worst crossers of a ball in the league.
