Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wenger does not have a plan

How the absolute f00k did we not score there?

And back down to earth we go. To think i actually thought we would get stuck in tonight and keep the momentum going but i should know better at this stage that when the nutty professor is involved there will always be a tendency to implode. Thats what 10m a year gets ya, a failed tired dinosaur who has been shít longer then he was good now but continues to be handsomely rewarded for mediocrity

    Ah yes, Wenger's fault.

While everything you say is right, it's also wrong. He gets handsomely rewarded because he helps make the owners so much money. Today is the worlds first billion dollar game, and you don't sack the manager of someone with that level of revenue

Yes. Sure who coaches the team? Who manages the football club? Granted the players are terrible and their attitude stinks but Wenger recruits them

I think Xhaka and Ramsey is probably the worse midfield we've had over the last 25 yrs. They don't work together at all.

Bringing on Iwobi was a ****e call, he's too slow and laboursome for this level of game

I wouldn't blame Wenger for anything this has happened in this match. Maybe we can talk about the club/team/last 20 years after the match.

2-0 down, but it's nice to see us play without the heads down.

    Poor miss Ramsey

If it hadn't been for the 2 defensive brain farts this would be a decent game

They are opened up on the break continuously. Nutty professor and his kamikaze tactics again. Groundhog day.

Just because it's said so many times before and your sick of hearing it doesn't make it not true.

Everything you seen midweek and today and the last 20 odd years is Wenger, that's how it works.

He has brought us where we are and accepts this level

Really need to take one of these chances

Arsenal fans the world over are suffering over this egotist and his neverending vanity quest to score the perfect goal. Le Professeur my arse. Clueless and out dated.

Ramsey off Wilshire on easy call.

Ramsey has been one of our consistently best players for the last month or so. Jack hasn't done much with his opportunities of late.

2 defensive errors from a unit that had previously been excellent. How is that Wengers fault.

Meanwhile the team are playing excellently. Does Wenger not get any credit for that?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

Other than the start where I genuinely think Mourinho called Wengers bluff, we've been the better team.

Only for De Gea this would be 2-2 atleast.

Poor call going Iwobi with the options we had, Wenger let's himself down with his football playing obsession, going direct was the response we needed here

Is that a rhetorical question, or do I need to tell you the answer is no? :pac:

He's made one good save from his own player. How do you think he's the difference today?

That's not how it works though he's been awful today take him off. It's a bad day at the office so change it

What's he done poorly? Think he has been solid enough.

I was going to say that this game is a great snapshot of Wenger at Arsenal but it would have been true the last 10 years.

He's given too much away, looks way off the pace. Two or three plays broke down by him.

Ramsey is one of them that is either excellent or ****e rarely in between

    Today he's been poison

2-0 down at home?? How is this excellence? They are at sea at the back. His obsession with playing football all the way from the back is causing these defeats plus the players he recruits seem to have brains the size of peas.

An individual error caused the build up to the second goal but they had plenty of opportunity to defend that. Four men went to the one united player before the ball was slipped to lindgard. Thats bad coaching.

He's not obsessed with playing from the back, due to the fact that we don't always play from the back. We haven't played tiki-taka from-the-back football for years.

Play as we did attacking wise first half we'll get s goal just need that to be with enough time to chase a second

    Assuming no more brain farts

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,336 ✭✭✭Mr.Micro

There are more goals in this, lukaku has not scored yet.

You can have that if that assist was meant 😂

Ah, even if the assist wasn't meant, that run isn't being made by Wilshere. Ramsey brings that to the table.

He got lucky that Lacazette was there to score after he made a total balls of his first touch

2 goals from only 2 chances- can’t blame AW for that!

When there is four players trying to close down one and leaving one free you can question the level of coaching. This is a recurring theme with over a decade.

What a game all the same

With quite a large number of clean sheets across that decade- want really sloppy defending see Merseyside
