Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He needs to see a specialist then if that's his problem. (not a specialist in failure though? :D).

Its not as if Wenger reads this thread to be honest. No sympathy for him. He turned the fanbase against himself. His teams are absolutely spineless.

It also makes little sense that an Irish person who (presumably) has no real links to Arsenal, keeps supporting them despite how miserable it makes them feel. Hooked on Arsenal indeed :)

We are all waiting and praying to turn the corner so this sorry regime can finally end and hoping that a new man will come in and instill some backbone back into the club again if nothing else. It seems to be a pipe dream at this stage though. Everytime we think he is near the end of his contract he bloody goes and signs another.

Exactly. Just heard this on netflix drama the crown about an ageing Winston Churchill that seems appropriate. Everyone's time comes to an end...
a collection of hesitant frightened old men unable to unseat a tyrannical delusional even older one.

I don't think money is his main driver. I feel he is completely hooked on being manager of Arsenal Football. It's his life and can't contemplate anything else. I suppose its down to the board to get him to contemplate life after Arsenal

I did read something the other day that apparently his now ex wife felt there was three in the marriage. Her, Arsene, and Arsenal and something had to give eventually although he was rumoured to have been seeing some bit of crumpet on the sly too.

This season is already shaping up to be a disaster.

One thing ive learned is if a player wants out just let him go.

Sanchez has been poison and I think its affecting the whole team.

Club is rotten at the moment.

"Hooked on Arsenal FC". is a poor reason for the displays his team are producing. It doesn't make any kind of sense to say that. The performances would suggest it's not that because if it was they'd be playing a lot better.
    Hooked on money more like.

I mean, if you ever actually listen to the guy, you'll see that it makes perfect sense. He's terrified of retirement. Fergie had his horses, but Wenger is all football. If he was "hooked on money" he'd have moved to Real Madrid 15 years ago.

    Pity he didn't then.
I feel he's only here for the money anyway.
Surely with his record in the last 10 plus years he must know the game is up?
He's no longer fit to be manager and should move on or retire, otherwise he should be pushed, but I feel he runs the cash cow and as such is here for life.

You're just sticking your head in the sand now, in the face of blatant evidence. It's well documented...

Oh and if he moved 15 years ago, no Invincibles. What a pity indeed!

He's no longer fit for the job.
Being "all things Arsenal" does not give him a free pass no matter how well it's documented.

Don't be silly, he would never had moved to Madrid, he would have been sacked after a few months and would never been in control. The man needs to be in control and he knew he had that at Arsenal. He had the excuses of no money and telling us top 4 was a achievement. He's the luckiest man in world football and shame on the club for keeping him on. anywhere else he would have seen the door a long time ago.

We were a big club before he came, and we be one when he leaves. I hate that many so called fans think this man made Arsenal, we won titles and European trophies before he stepped into the hot seat. He had his day in the sun, he's now a hindrance to the club and needs putting out of his misery cause you know he won't leave cause he has nothing else in his life but Arsenal.

When you consider that Mourinho was sacked for losing 4 games the year after winning the title and Ranieri sacked the year after winning the title it beggars belief that Wenger is still here.

He's unsackable at Arsenal whereas he wouldnt have been afforded the time to implement the same level of autocracy at Real Madrid

    Not really. Very different situations.

    Indeed.
They were sacked for what was considered by their boards to be bad management while our lad is rewarded for atrocious management.

Interesting comments from Wenger following the West Ham game. Usually when teams try to set up defensively to thwart us as the second half goes on their players begin to tire and we would be given more opportunities. This didn't happen on Wednesday. Based on kms ran in the first half, Wenger was fully expecting this to happen but the Hammers ran even more in the second half.

Our build up has got slower this season. The WHU players didn't have to expend a lot of energy at all. Two banks of 5 and 4 hardly having to rush back at speed any time we attacked. More like moving sideways to close down crosses. When they attacked they always seemed to leave 4 back too.
We are not that hard to defend against as when we do manage to get a cross in it's a poor one hardly clearing the first defender, just like our corners.

Iwobi and Maitland Niles are poor enough to be on any first 11.
Plenty of energy from Iwobi but he hasn't got a football brain. A bit like Welbeck.

Niles was one of our better players midweek at least. Although I'm not sure what Kolasinac has done wrong to be dropped?

Me either as he's on the bench.
Niles might come good as he's young. Iwobi has been around a while. He tries very hard but he makes silly decisions. Hopefully both will improve with games.

Mad alexis still there and kol on the bench.

Wenger doing my head in at this stage.

Mainland-Niles is not great, but the main problem with him is he unbalances the team. He is clearly right-footed and struggles when attacking at speed down the wing. He either has to cut back on his right (and slow the break), or reduce his speed to cross the ball on his left (which inevitably results in a slower more lofted cross, which makes it easier for the defence to clear). I don't think he adds anything to the team to be honest....Loving Wilshere back in the team though!

Lovely hit from Ozil, nice driving run from Jack too in the build up

What a strike from old bug eyes , Bellerin then fails miserably at copying him

Bellerin has a similar touch to Harvey Weinstein.

Actually think Xhaka has been quite tidy today and his passing had been very good. As has Jack. Wouldn’t fancy them against a stronger team mind you... Watch me jinx them now!!!

    Wenger has lost the plot.

Alexis should be out of the team and gone.
