Ozil missing again? Didn’t hear any injury report before today.

Doesn't matter who we sign. Same tired tactics. We might rise up and provide a banana skin here or there but that's as good as it will get. Messi? Ronaldo? Still wouldn't make a difference.

Still want Arsenal to play at their best and win every game possible, regardless of who is manager

I expected it tbh. He does get treated with kid gloves.

    Saving him for Chelsea?

in fact with Chelsea coming up on Wednesday I expected more changes. With Monreal, Giroud and Ramsey out scope was limited though. Debuchy in for Bellerin mught have been a good bet

You mention City but what about the four other teams in front of us?

Do you not think we should be at the very least in the mix? Come on now

We are in the mix with the 4 teams above us

Now who's howling at the moon. Guys don't be so flippant. Just accept he is an irrelevant, overpaid has been. Surely signing Kim kallstrom with a broken back four years ago convinced you of this? Or the several hammerings and capitulations suffered since that defeat??

You mention City but what about the four other teams in front of us?

You realise if we win today, there'll be five points between us and the team in second? Is that not in the mix?

With them coming to the Emirates on Wednesday.

Ozil goes missing a lot. Maybe he off to a better club in the transfer window.

Yeah but every time we look like we are making progress another terrible performance rears its ugly head and it's back to square one.
No consistency. A burst here and there

We might be in the mix for 4th or 5th place, but don't bank on it. There is no belief in this team on the pitch or off...it is plain to see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,676 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

    Hmm.

Tough one regarding Ozil. I normally believe in playing your strongest team in every league game - the points here count the same as the ones from the Chelsea game - but in this case, it's just about alright.

Delighted Wilshere is in the team again. We always look more dangerous with him.

So, exactly the same as the other teams in the mix?

If only the same could be said about your moaning. If we lose, you moan....and if we win, you moan.

We have a chance to narrow the gap on City from 22 to a mere 19 points.

Arsenal XI: Cech, Chambers, Mustafi, Koscielny, Bellerin, Xhaka, Wilshere, Kolasinac, Iwobi, Alexis, Lacazette

Subs: Ospina, Mertesacker, Maitland-Niles, Coquelin, Elneny, Walcott, Welbeck

Iwobi must have nude pictures of Wenger or something. I've seen nothing from him to see why he starts so many games.

Very little creativity in the midfield without Ozil.

He hasn't much competition to be fair...look at that bench! Worrying...

Happy new year to you basil. Enjoy celebrating that win at Selhurst park tonight. Stick it to those City fans

not been at his best. I think he needs regular game time. Tonnes of potential that he's not yet delivering on.

Because I've seen this season before. I don't see the point getting excited about being an also ran. I'm not moaning, I realise it might be coming across that way. I just fail to muster any shred of optimism. Meh or indifference would be fairer terms

A shame that palace couldn't put away their penalty at the end and stop city's invincible season.

Still makes our win over them the other day look decent, though.

Is this something we should actually be any way satisfied or proud of though? Beating Palace away from home whereas City couldn't? Is this the level of our ambition now? Bettering the odd City result here and there?

    Final EPL match of 2017.
    Hope we defend better today.
No sign of Ozil or last season's airplane.... yet.
    Come on lads.

    Eh, no.

We had a handy enough win against palace, as you'd expect. Some said they are a rubbish team, but they have improved under Hodgson. The match today illustrates this, that is all.

    Two rubbish corners already.
Can nobody kick a simple dead ball?

not sure why iwobi is taking them , get jack on them :)

19 goals and 6 assists by Sanchez in the last 24 away games.
Now that's some record in fairness.

Easy ball dropped by cech ffs

Agree. But i'd have them sort it our on the training ground.
Can none of our defenders jump? Losing all the aerial battles in the defence.

ya exactly maybe if more of the defenders could head the ball Ozil would have double the assists

It's funny how elbows are always accidental when they're against Arsenal.

Iwobi has to at least put that on target.

Clinical finishers go bottom corner too, more margin for error.

Iwobi is brainless, I don't blame Sanchez wanting to leave playing with such dross

Yes. As I said last week he is full of running and endeavour but has no football brain.
I'd rather see young Nelson given a chance.

In fairness it’s not Iwobi’s fault, he’s won the lottery getting in on this Arsenal gravy train.

Iwobi had a purple patch a while back where he was scoring a few goals, and looking fairly dangerous. He's a long way off that form now, though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

    FFS Bellerin.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,925 ✭✭✭pudzey101

bellerin cant cross for sh!t , need a good RB in to challenge for that spot

He's scored 6 times for us in total. At least two I can think of were in European romps so were unimportant. I can't remember him ever scoring a vital or important goal.

    Kolasinac not looking good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,925 ✭✭✭pudzey101

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Maitland Niles in for Kolasinac soon i'd say.

    Awful awful football.
What has happened to our quick passing and penetrating game?
