Moto G5 casting

Hi, Looking for advice. I have a Moto G5 phone, but it will not allow me to cast to my smart TV directly. Thing is if I watch netflix, youtube or spotify it will allow me to do this. Wondering is there something I can do, other than use a chromecast?
