Top class Sunday Night and Monday Night fare.
0-5 Giants with no offense and Jacoby Brissett versus Matt Cassel.

They might change the Flex rules based on this week alone.

That's a decent set of 6pm games, Lions @ Saints in particular could be fun. SNF is a likely blowout. Giants are down receivers and that OL is in for a beating against Miller and co.

46-31 so far this year, got murdered last week!

    Eagles @ Panthers
    Patriots @ Jets
    49ers @ Redskins
    Dolphins @ Falcons
    Bears @ Ravens
    Browns @ Texans
    Lions @ Saints
    Packers @ Vikings
    Buccaneers @ Cardinals
    Rams @ Jaguars
    Steelers @ Chiefs
    Chargers @ Raiders
    Giants @ Broncos
    Colts @ Titans

Thursday night football looks awesome, could go either way, just gonna side with the home team there

Lions @ Saints could be an interesting one, I've not bought in on the Lions at all this year and the Saints are a mixed bag week to week, lets see if getting rid of AP clears up their balance on Offence

Steelers @ Chiefs, I'd normally be happy to back the chiefs here but we dont have a good track record with the Steelers, especially not in the week following them losing in a big spot (see last year following their loss to the eagles), KC to hold serve at home but possibly a good one if its a get right game for snip ben

Looking forward to tonight's game. Two good teams, both in good form, with QBs that can make plays down field. Think I've been watching too much Redzone lately, and while it is good in its own right, it''s never as enjoyable as watching a dedicated game.

Yeah I'm not a fan of redzone generally, unless there's really no good game on. It doesn't convert the rhythm and flow of a game, just endless touchdowns or near touchdowns with no sense of how those opportunities are made, the tension of it.

Tonight does look good. When I think of how many years ago the bears let peppers go because they thought he was washed up, and how good he continues to be even now on limited snaps, he's pretty remarkable.

such a tight defensive game, that timeout that ruled out a first down for the Eagles, followed by a sack and great punt return could be a turning point in the game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

...wow that zone read option td run by Newton.....you will never....never... see a bigger hole to run through!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Love the heart, but I don't want my QB lowering his shoulder faced with 3 defenders 3 yards from the goaline. Toof a good lick there. Saw Cutler do this many a time, not sure it did him much good. Trucked a safety one time and hurt his shoulder if I remember rightly.

He was fine that day, if I recall, it stopped people accusing him of being soft or a coward. But yeah that was a bit risky from Wentz, you need to be thinking, what does the team need, the yards or you still in the game?

Kuechly officially in the concussion protocol again. 3 times in 3 years. Surely has to be thinking of calling it a day soon??

Thought Carolina dodged a bullet there - didn't here any whistle and Eagles get a RTP call.

Terrible throw by Newton there, and Carolina sick they wated two timeouts, or they would have been able to get the ball back with significant time left on the clock, now a 3 and out should still give them the ball back with 1:45 if they use the timeout straight away.

They Still have a chance now, we didn't convert :(

wow, second down run that lost 4 was a disaster, meant the eagles had to throw on 3rd. Extra time for the Panthers...Plenty of time left now...they even get the two minute warning!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,737 ✭✭✭Hococop

    Oh thank god

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

I know the Panthers had a chance tonight at the end, but the scoreboard didn't really reflect how much better the Eagles were. 100+ penalty yards (Carolina had 1 yard in penalties!!), and they were a thorn in Newton's side all night. 3 ints, 49 attempts netted just 230-odd yards...less than 5ypa, and to do it all in Carolina. Very good win indeed.

Stayed up to watch it, and I hadn't had a really good look at the Eagles so far this season - they're looking some team! Need help at cornerback but otherwise I'm very sold on then; Wentz looked like an Aaron Rodgers in the making out there. That run defense is terrifying, too!

One thing is I think a few teams that can put up high scores through the air could get the better of them but as of right now I wouldn't be too surprised at all if they managed to go all the way, with some luck on injuries and playoff draws.

Whens earliest you'd find out starting O-line for games? Browns have a few doubts.

If it was 1st down at the 50 down 7 with 3 seconds left the Bears would still run it.

I came here to complain about the same thing. How are they not noticing how easily other teams are predicting us on first down?

Though just as I'm writing we did throw, badly, on first

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,719 ✭✭✭JaMarcusHustle

    Hey NFL teams,

Are you sick of your Quarterback looking like a scrub? Can't remember the last time he threw for over 300 yards?

Come on down to New England today, and we'll take your old Josh McCowns and make them look like regular Joe Montanas! It's that simple!

Here at New England, we strive to ensure your Quarterback looks like a Superstar. Our non-existent pass rush and soft, overpaid secondary is just the ticket you need.

So come on down to New England, where we have more yards than sense!

Absolute joke to have no flag there. Let's see if we can give the Ravens a run for most crippling injuries this year...

Wow. Saints just showed how not to tackle 2 or 3 times there. That’s just awful.

After a brief respite last week, the Ravens offense continues to be the biggest lump of complete and utter **** I have ever had the misfortune of watching.

    Useless.
