Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Right,
    Having just read this article:-

    https://www.rte.ie/news/brexit/2017/1011/911531-brexit-revenue-report/

how come a report on the impact of Brexit was written in 2015, yet the referendum didn't take place until 23 June 2016??

Can Irish politics see into the future?

I call SCAM and more Corruption in the Dail!!!

Surprisingly in 2015. But Cameron had said as early as 2013 that he wanted a referendum and would hold it before 2017.

    Sounds about right to me..

'The Taoiseach said he was a little bit disturbed by Mr Martin's level of outrage and said he does not see it as genuine.'

The Brexit Referendum was annouced in Feruary 2016, not 2015!!

The Brexit Referendum was annouced in Feruary 2016, not 2015!!

It's weird that the act that introduced the referendum was called the European Union Referendum Act 2015

The actual date wasn't announced to February but it had been in the works a long time before that. The European Union Referendum Act 2015 was passed in 2015.

So our government knew that a referendum was coming a long time before 2016
