Job done for Bourinho. Can't argue with his tactics, it gets results.

Well that’s a victory for Mourinho’s anti-football. Liverpool need to find a real focal point to their attack to break down these teams that come to Andield and put 11 men behind the ball.

Lukaku might get stick for failing to turn up in a big game again but he had zero service today.

That was one dog **** game of football, United will be the happier, came for the draw and got it.

Really disappointed in one sense, honestly should have brought on Mata

But for the context of an actual title challange it makes sense

Ultimately there was two great chances one for Liverpool and one for Utd

The game panned out as expected

How any United fan can be proud of that, with all their we always play a beautiful game. Anti-Football. Joe Brolly said it Puke Football.

United will be pleased with a point but they didn't play well at all and gave up enough opportunities for Liverpool to win it.

Better result for United being away from home, but should be winning this sort of game.

Is it a good result though all of a sudden? Some serious overconfidence from a lot of United fans before this game, seemed to think they'd smash us, they'll have to change their tune now I suppose.

All over, Utd were there for the taking really. Their 6-3
1 formation was expected but it had a fair few holes in it and a sharper attack would have seen them off.

Yep. Klopp has to start working out how to break down these defensive teams at Anfield. Would really like to see Ings or Solanke given a run of games now, he’s got to try something different.

Maybe the worst football game I've seen this year.

De Gea amazing save, highlight of the game.

City be laughing at that United performance. Looks like a one horse race, with Boreinho trying to consolidate his top 4 position.

£90m on Lukaku a player who once again shows he can't do it against the top teams.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,048 ✭✭✭Unearthly

United were poor. Missed fellaini a lot who is an out ball to beat the press and start attacks.

Was glad to see Klopp subbing off liverpools best players though

It means nothing about the title. He would have set ye up that way no matter what.

He bitched a couple weeks ago about only one team trying to win the game and look at him now.

United will be found out this year. No attacking threat against non relegation candidates

Well that was boring, but who will remember it if we win the league.

They were never going to. That was just delusion. Mourinho will be more than happy with the 0-0.

He was shocking - a right flat track bully but he'll be right up there in the goal scoring table. Martial, Mhiky and the rest were no better but Mourinho's do not lose mentality against the bigger teams clearly isn't helping them.

Think that’s harsh. He was left to fend for himself up front, no support from midfield at all and he was left fighting for scraps from their long hoofs out of defence.

Not sure United have improved their attack on last season at all. Oxlade Chamberlain had more joy in his few bursts than Martial, Rashford, Lingaard and Mkhitaryan combined.

Slightly unfair on him when his first game against a top team is against Spurs in two weeks

If you play that fearfully against the big teams, you won't have to worry about that happening, don't you worry. ;)

Carrying his Everton form on in the big games

Not surprising, I said it previously in this thread, he's not technically good enough in these high intensity games. Not mentally strong enough either to force his way into the game. Will still score lots of goals against weaker teams though so still money well spent for United.

Hard to see how Liverpool can come back and mount a title challenge, their just dropping too many points.

    After what Fergie achieved?

No way the standards and expectations couldn't be reduced after him tbh.

    Disagree with this.

Did standards and expectations drop when Chelsea or City now change managers?

What about Liverpool in the past going from Shankly to Paisley, Fagan and Dalglish?

Of course Fergie is a hard act to follow but I do not think he would be happy with how Mourinho has Utd playing at Anfield these days.

A second half were Utd offered nothing, had zero threat and just played to stifle the opposition is not the Utd way and I don't see how fans could be happy with it.

You do watch your team to be entertained after all.

    Your talking out of context

A draw at Anfield isn't the worst result

    That's how you win titles

Then you beat the teams you should be beating

Liverpool will lose next week and Utd will win

    That's the difference
