Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where they not up in arms to last season over Mings

Exactly, its the hypocrisy of it all that annoys me more than the kick. Holier than thou, as usual.

    Feigning????

    Are you nuts??

Im not saying he meant to but it is clear as day a heal to the face and that would fu@@ng hurt anyone.

Id like to think he didnt mean it so its probably best to not do anything and leave it to be judged later. But he definitely should have been booked for the late tackle.

Lukaku has been shocking so far. Could very well end up scoring but so far he has been a passenger in a pretty Jose-like team

Very cynical and negative tactics from utd. Lukaku is so isolated at times. It's working but horrible to watch.

It's a damn sight better than last year where they were allowed to spoil the game in both legs and tried to kick us off the park.

It'd be stupid to play any other way. This is how you beat us.
You take the fact that we'll get a few chances on the chin, because we'll usually miss, and, sooner or later, you'll get enough space to cut us open.

The only surprise is that Lukaku's finish was so poor.
I expected laziness and generally having no influence on the game in the main, but I thought he'd be more ruthless than that in front of goal.

Still, if he gets another chance before he's subbed for being **** or sent off out of frustration, he'll probably bury it.

Utd are doing alright. Not great, but they're keeping us at bay, and that's all you need when you've got enough firepower.

Did he mean it? Is it a red?

No I don't think it's a red. He was looking the other way.

Lovren would do well to come out the second half.

Liverpool fans screeching at nothing as usual. Lukaku barely touched him and he flops around like a fish out of water. Dirty from Lovren.

  • Registered Users Posts: 686 ✭✭✭Flincher

I thought it was careless flick of the boot by Lukaku. Probably meant to leave one on Lovren but not to catch him square on the face. These days there's probably enough in it for retrospective action - obviously looks far worse in slow motion.

it wasn't a red as I don't think Lukuku meant to hit Lovren in the head.

Feel united need another midfielder in there with herrera and matic. Mkhitaryan not in the game at all

Think you're fighting with shadows here. "United fans" are not one homogenous group. And that incident was nothing. Maude Flanders **** going on in here.

The tackle he got away with on Lovren (I think) where he upended him was 10 times worse but nary a mention of it.

Lovren feigning injury and Salah diving. Typical Liverpool. Ref has been incredibly harsh young too. Some mad decisions stopping us playing on the break three times.

DeGea being a legend as usual and Lukaku fluffing his first chance as I've come to expect from him. Seems to take two chances to get his first goal most of the time.

Lovren reminds me of when that weird Fifa collission glitch happens and the player takes flight.

Was on Gomez, but yeah that was about as textbook a yellow as you'll see.

If our performance doesnt immediately improve then I can see Liverpool winning this easily. We're being found out a bit.

Liverpool for some reason are struggling to break down Utd's back 8.

    persistent fouling and no yellows.....

That was a particularly horrible corner but is there no requirement for 10 steps?

Think Mourinho has got the selection wrong. Mata should be there instead of Young. The left wing is shocking with Martial and Darmian. Herrera has barely played this season and looks off pace.

Commonly called defensive organisation. You wouldn't be used to seeing that so I understand confusion.

Yea the little white mark outside the pitch the players have to behind that for a corner and young was not, but the ref is giving Liverpool everything

As in all these games, he's more interested in making sure his RW can get up and down, than having someone proactive on the ball.

There's no way that's the normal way for Utd to play in the past.

Can't imagine Utd fans deep down really like it. Of course they would never admit it here.

Martin Tyler is full on Gea for De gay.

No and that's what happens when you don't have any strikers. Lovely build up play but no one to put the ball in the net.

If it results in trophies i couldn't care less tbh.

    Winning is everything.

Many times Fergie set up and won ugly.

You set up to nullify the opposition's strengths.

Wouldn't make much sense to play to lfcs qualities, would it?

OK but according to many here Liverpool don't have any strengths.

Fergie never came to Anfield and just try to choke Liverpool. He always played his own attacking game and feared nobody.
