Maybe to the snowflake generation he was slating him.

He was praising him big time and mentioned his white teeth.

But yeah offended offended offended etc

I don't think the poster meant it tbh.

Anyone could see it was more of an observation.

    Two points thrown away tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,522 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

Overall we threw away 2 points.

Mig and gomez not good enough this evening. Gomez is young. Should learn. Mig is a constant failing.

Cb's I thought were very good.

Milner got stuck in. Can is too ponderous for the style of play.

Mane is out of form and confidence. We have alternatives.

Salah is a constant danger. As is coutinho.

Firmino is quite simply exceptional. Brilliant hold up and link play. Tireless. Joy to watch.

We Arsenal’d it. Luckily we were only playing Arsenal.

Mig cost us......Gomez got done I agree and was poor for the goals, but a shot from 30 yards out straight at you has to be caught. He's a shambles of a GK, but keeps getting a game. Its a ****ing joke.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭delaad

The home team did not look like winning once it went 3-3.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Pathetic.

The only team I know where you shít yourself more at 2 or 3 nil up than when you're drawing or losing.

Disappointing result considering... a top team doesnt throw away leads like that.
We’re not a top team, defensively.
Always knew we needed a GK, 2 x CDFs and a mid.

Minolet is just a waste. Rest of the team must have zero faith in him (fans don’t anyway).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,068 ✭✭✭Tipsy McSwagger

We will never win anything until that defense is sorted

Edit - I did think Lovren was good tonight though

Arsenal fans piling out ? Must be in a rush to get on FamBloodTV

This team needs a midfielder that can calm it down when it's falling apart. Someone who will just get on it and move 10 yards, get it back shift it again and will do it for a minute or two. Alonso and Hamann could do it, no one on this team can.

    Mignolet is absolutely brutal.
And Gomez has got caught a few times with balls in the air this season and an opposition player close by. He's young, that'll will improve as he gets older.

    thrown away 3pts again...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

Get a real goalkeeper and we win that game. Priority has to be finding an answer. I doubt Karius is much of a downgrade on Mig so we should play him to see what we have there. The 3 teams ahead of us are the teams who clearly have a better keeper. Its not a coincidence.

Arsenal are really good at home btw. A draw isn't a bad result but it sure does feel like one.

    Milner

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,328 ✭✭✭Ardent

How frustrating. Arsenal were a beaten team at 2-0. We smacked them for 80% of the game. Imagine what this team could achieve with a half decent goalkeeper and defence.

I’ll take that tbh. Two 4th place finishes in a row is progress, even if it’s same result. We never came close to that since Rafa left.

Well I'd have taken a point before hand and they did come back to rescue the point but feck it! Firmino the only forward who could really say he had a good game - Salah just off his game, Coutinho disappeared and Mane just has to be put into therapy or something.

    2 teams of bottlers.

We have such a weak mentality. Fold under any pressure. Mignolet sums it up. No idea how is still at the club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,065 ✭✭✭✭Tusky

We need to start keeping a tally of how many individual errors by Mignolet, Moreno and Lovren have led to goals and points dropped. That was pathetic from Mignolet and he's been doing it for years at this stage. If Klopp doesn't think Karius is up to it he needs to get someone else in.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,348 ✭✭✭✭ricero

Enough is enough. Spend some money and sign a decent keeper. Oblak of off athletico would be easy to acquire i feel.

Very dissapointed and deflated with that result. Extremely annoyed with joe gomez. Only positive is that we didnt lose and are still ahead of arsenal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,805 ✭✭✭mightyreds

So frustrating we had aresnal beat before kickoff with recent results they were a shambles , we gifted them 3 goals and still ended up drawing

Agree with most of this. Probably dominated over 80 minutes and still didn't win. Don't want to be too hard on gomez, he's learning and has been playing well. No surprise by Mignolet Fvcking up, nearly dropped one in under the crossbar late on too to round it off.

Said it before, game management is poor. Go 2 up, you should be able to kill things for 5 minutes and don't let them in,then build again once the adrenalin has gone out of their veins. We never do this, and never learn. Same old mistakes is what is the most annoying thing

Weak is fine, easily offended etc... snowflake just really bugs the **** out me, it’s become synonymous with the anti-socialist, anti-equality, anti-progress, Republican, fascist, racist, misogynist, generally bigoted and close-minded side of things. I can’t hear it without seeing Steve Bannon, Trump, Alex Jones or David Duke.

Annoyed with the draw, really should have been winning that.

This team could be very decent if Klopp bothered to fix the issues at the back we've had since he came in. Generally we do well but we are always likely to hand a result to the opposition. Always a mistake away from collapse. At what point do you stop giving these players chances. No way anything changes unless the same players that keep making the same errors are replaced.

Eh, you come across as a snowflake with a comment like that. Uber positive and only seeing the best in everything. Typical of the millennial medal for everything (including "conceding 3 soft goals, at least you tried" mentality). Us grouchy gen X's see the true negativity intended and gripe accordingly.

For shame sir, for shame. I thought you better than that.

    :D
You must be mixing me up with someone. I'm one of the most pessimistic ****ers on here :pac:

Ya, I think the fans would get behind Karius now. Give him until the end of the season to prove himself. Ideally he would be clanger free but as we have seen previously it looks unlikely at the minute.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

I wish they'd fcuking melt away.

Klopp is starting to annoy me again, he needs to spend less time being histrionic on the touchline and spend more time assessing the game and preparing the right subs early enough to matter.

Games like this where we completely fold shows the need for a real leader on the pitch who knows how to shut a game down.

We haven't had one of them since Mascherano left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,052 ✭✭✭SuperTortoise

Gomez has been our best defender this season, he gets a pass for tonight, aside from the goal error he played well, as did Lovren.

Klavan and mostly Can at fault for their 3rd, one got suckered into the ball and the other just did'nt bother tracking his man.

You know your GK is sh1t when his own CB shakes his head in disgust.

Milner and Firmino were excellent too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,678 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Why not give Ward a shot in goals? Can't be any worse than the other 2.

    Meh, we've over it.

In fairness, at least the other poster quoted me rather than a cowardly throwaway remark.

    As you were.

Milner did get stuck in, but he’ll escape the Hendo criticism desite wearing the armband.

Just sick that we still have that GK. He did well in the 2nd half of last season, it gave me false hope. Out, simple as.

Cant blame hendo this time. We need a vocal leader like van dijk at the back and a hard as nails goalkeeper. Mingers is too soft.

So infuriating because we have the bones of an excellent team but a club and manager that is unwilling to splash the cash and fix the problems.

    Stat.

Since Klopp took charge, Liverpool have lost 43 points in the league from winning positions. The most of any team in Europe.

I dunno, happy enough with the draw considering we were behind but to concede 3 in 4 mins 45 secs is insanity and it's not a coincidence it happens way to much to us,great to come back but the way we fell apart when arsenal came into us a bit is embarrassing, our entire midfield needs to be replaced as does that fcukwit of a keeper
