little or nothing in it - looked more accidental, as for Lovern, if he had been kicked- is it really necessary to roll over over?

I know I asked this before, but can't remember the answer, can a player only be banned retrospectively for diving if a penalty is given? like if a free kick is given can he be banned?

If diving leads to an advantage for his team like a penalty or opponent being carded yes
