Seems very benign in Dublin at the moment... when should we expect the worst of the winds.

Tragic to hear about that poor lady in Waterford :(

Absolutely a non event here in west Kerry so far .... few minor gusts short period of heavy rain... Calm here now with the sun shining

looking the short range nothing major will happen here

This event so far doesn't even comes close to Darwin, Which is a nice birthday present ... keep you posted, stay safe all

Thank god that somebody agrees with me that Darwin was much more severe.

North Kerry is right under the eye. You can expect it to get pretty bad once the eye passes.

worth noting: 4,193 people viewing the weather forum.

Interesting report from Dingle peninsula, you were in the eye of the storm at that point, expect a blast from the west very soon.

Very sad to here of the women killed in her car in Waterford. Even do its only one person it is still one too many. So stay inside until you know it is safe to go out and don,t do anything stupid. The less fatalities from this the better.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I've heard conflicting things re. employees obligations today. Like a fool, I came to work this morning. Our boss advised us via text last night that it was business as usual and we were all expected in. I know I shouldn't have come in but I wasn't given the choice. No idea how I'm going to get home. Did the boss act lawfully here? As I understand it, if given the choice whether to go to work or not, the employee is liable for any mishap that comes their way, otherwise the company is responsible.
