The girl was found safe and well. Heard on the radio.

Still missing according to both 96fm and her mother, as per appeals made 7 minutes ago.
I think that she was falsely reported safe.

CITI, Address: 1 N Wall Quay, North Dock, Dublin 1.

    Yes.

I mean I was talking about the valley and the poddle.
I mispoke really because its not actually built over the poddle, but Its basically in the poddles flood plain. Unlike Citi Bank which is built on an actual Quay that was planned to be a quay and not in a narrow valley without any consideration to flooding.

I'm saying that they aren't similar to the extent that you could make comparisons, but I'm not looking for a fight either.

Every place up the middle of the country just off the right of the eye of the storm that it's slingshotting up from the south is being hammered.... The eye is traveling up the coast so not getting a battering....

    were the parents foreign nationals?

I can't see many other reasons for someone to be totally unaware that schools had been closed!

Out of curiosity, when did the storm in 1989 occur?

    I apologise it wasn't 1989, it was January 25-26 1990.

I believe so. I can't believe it either, but then again things were very calm circa 8am this morning in cork. Hope they find her soon.

Can people stop making stupid comments.

There are roofs and trees all over the place. Going outside is ridiculous.
Stay the fook in until the morning.

    Overhyped my arse.

Is boards taking longer to load for anyone else. Just thank if so.
Yup, Ophelia has distracted Boards hamsters with her coquetry, and their little paws have floundered on the wheel ...

Not sure if it's been posted already but will post again for attention.

There is a 13 year old child missing in cork. Her father dropped her to the ferry in Cobh this morning to go to school in Passage not knowing school was cancelled.
The father went to work but was sent home, can't get in touch with the child and she isn't at home or with any friends.

All the local news sources are running with it so it seems legit. As of 1pm she's still missing.

I hear this child has been found safe and well but that guy needs a serious kick up the hole. :)

Last 30 minutes seeing some very strong gusts in Drogheda. It’s getting wild out there. A low flying plane on its descent into the airport just now, hard to think they’ll allow him to land.

Roof blown off a Lidl store in Clonmel apparently...

Was in Howth by the Martello tower on the Sutton side about an hour ago, really amazing, huge waves coming in and you could lean right into the wind. Back inland now and it doesn't seem much worse than a normal blustery day in Dublin, different story on the coast though.
