    Lol that’s that then hahaha

Egg on everyone’s faces in here

If a less serious hurricane happens, then good. Everyone should want egg on their face in this scenario. That's not something to be ashamed of. I'd much rather be overly cautious and preaching safety to my friends and family and proven wrong, than taking it way too lightly and caught off guard.

Yeah it's cool to experience a hurricane since we never get them, but honestly who wants it in the grand scheme of things? No need to be on the high horse m8. You're not 'winning' anything here lol

And anyway, if it changes west it could just as easily go back east. It wasn't meant to even hit properly until about what 10am tomorrow? SO judging it now is silly anyway. Take care everyone. Sorry to go off topic.

    Goodnight!

Raining now with the wind picking up in Murroe outside Limerick city on the Limerick/Tipp border.

    And this is not normal?

Perfectly normal of course, just thought people further north and east might like to know when things begin to change from the dead calm.

We'll only know in the coming hours if it's just typical October weather or the advance part of the storm.

I'm a bit worried about my single glazed windows here. What should one do if a window gets shattered?

What do the board regulars advise for people on the east coast?

Attempt to go to work or continue to wait and see. I am taking the train and any advice would be appreciated.

Miami weather centre is still calling it as it was called here in Ireland yesterday.... Hitting east/north east Ireland Mon late morning early afternoon, south coast Scotland afternoon early evening... And according to Miami strong to very strong winds with 'damage'.

I'm texting my manager and dropping it in that the busses will be unreliable. If he's working from home then it's a day off for me
