Not been there in a while and only been but day but I like O'Neills on Suffolk st. It just had the feel of the kind of pub I'd like but Saturday night could be different

I miss the last bus home every so often, so was flying solo on a few times. I would gofor a few in O Reilly's just under Tara Street Train Station. Fairly sound bunch of people in there.. Dublin seems good for flying solo will always get in with a few people and have a laugh wherever you go

The Palace in Fleet Street but don't venture any further into Temple Bar it being Saturday night.

    Thanks for all the replies.

I probably went out too late - everyone was generally drunk so I had one drink and left!

    Lightweight :)

Where did you go in the end?
Anyway you have an itinerary for a nice pub crawl next time you are in town!

Haha - the Ha'penny Bridge Inn which was a bit dead and no one to talk to.

Then across the road to the Grand Social - didn't like the vibe - and on to the Stags Head where they all seem drunk.

To be fair, it was 11ish at that stage!

    Yeah who knew.

A social drink and conversation without being drunk? Unrealistic

It's a phenomenon that I've heard of and would like to experience some time. I've seen tourists do it in Ireland with some success, although 2 hours to drink a pint shared between 2 people does not a successful publican make.

Ryans on camden street is a good little pub.

Has the feel of a local in the city centre.

Chaplins on Hawkins Street, Long Stone on Townsend Street or Mulligans on Poolbeg Street are nice spots and never too rowdy.
