Looking to control the immersion heater remotely. When an app says it can control both heating and water, i assume this means that both depend on a single heating source, eg gas or oil?
i have oil heating and though it can heat the water the immersion is the main source of hot water.

I'm open to correction here but aren't immersion circuits 40amp?

No usually 16A or around 3.5KW. I wouldn't put the above device on an immersion as its designed for 13A Max.

I would put it on the heating system no problems, looks quite good. Also many heating systems have a fused spur anyway supplying them so it would be a direct swap over.

It's rated for 13A the immersion I have a 3KW immersion. I covered that in the thread on it.

Again I'm happy with that . It is a UK designed device and it's documents mention immersions.

I'd normally be as fussy. But I checked it out

Interested to hear how this is going? Presumably it turns on bath if there is no choice? If this replaces the manual switch does it mean you can no longer chose between bath and sink manually?
    Thanks

There are multiple options available and everyone will have a preference.
I have tried 2 options myself.
1st was a basic Sonoff WiFi switch set to control a contactor switch.
Worked but was a little inelegant.
I had a Gen3 nest installed by EI a while back and found out that this has a relay available for on/off control.
It can't run the full 3 or 3.5kw but it can run the contactor I already had in place, so it was swapping over the wiring from the Sonoff to the Best Heatsink which luckily for me was installed in the hotpress already.

It keeps the heating and hot water on the 1 app, that's wife friendly ;) as we already used the Nest app for our heating.
