Any half decent carpenter joiner should be able to come up with a nice, proper jointed Truss.

Incorporating some nice chevron type details, that wouldn,t be normally offered by larger

Truss manufacturers, that would be more inclined for structural integrity above aesthetics.

I assume you have your aesthetic requirements researched at this early design brief stage.

Pics or links would be welcome.

As your requirements are aesthetically based, choose a joinery as opposed to a normal

run of the mill truss manufacture.

How long will the trusses be?

We put some non structural in our sunroom 13ft wide.

I bought some nice spalted beach wooden beams from a very good well stocked local sawmills 5inch thick x 9 inch high.

The carpenter doing the roof fitted them when the roof was finshed by resting and fixed on the wall plate and fixed to the rafters also.

Then we insulated between the rafters fitted the plasterboard and hardwalled up to the trussess. Worked out neat and tidy and has the look we wanted.

Priced the professional truss companies at the planning stage of our build and they were coming in like 3k plus and this was 10 years ago.

The beams cost me €600 and the carpenter included fitting them in the roof price.
