The power ballads always make me laugh..

what are you so serious about? It's the Eurovision!

    Ireland's entry was garbage...

    Switzerland and Cyprus for me

Rylan over on BBC4 improved as the night went on

Will be (pleasantly) surprised if Ireland get through

Aside from the top obvious 5, the markets are currently reacting positively to

Lithu / Swiss / Albania / Belaru and maybe Azer will complete the top 10.

Why do people think the dancers for Ireland might make a differance ? I mean the singer himself was a grand chanter and we've certainly sent far worse to this competition.

Belarus has a very catchy little chorus - could pick up a few points, and good voting bloc

"We salute our glorious dictator and Russian Federation"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,648 ✭✭✭honeybear

    I’m betting on Switzerland placing

    Painful ''comedy"

    Are they ok?

No wonder the UK wanted to leave!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,598 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

If this was being held in Ireland, the ‘comedy’ would be provided by Syl Fox, June Rodgers and Al Port...Doc Savage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,373 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

The one I liked tonight and didn't really like before was Austria thought it was very catchy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,396 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Daniela ruah again. That was a pregnant pause if ever I heard one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,250 ✭✭✭✭Grandeeod

Ireland will not qualify. Marty is annoying the fook out of me. The staging every bloody year is now the same. Nothing new. Now I know why I haven't watched it since 2012 and it wasn't much better then.

Apologies for pissing on anyones picnic.:D

    Apt user name.

That would be the only thing that would make people vote for it.

I voted for Belgium to get through via text.

I wonder what it costs to vote across Europe? 60c here, 15p in UK over 3 times cheaper, what a surprise.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,396 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

    Planet Portugal ?

'Cos staging is key. It may be called a song contest but you need to sell it well visually. I think, in fairness, Ireland did that this time.

What on earth is this rubbish?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,396 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Oh sweet Jesus David Attenborough would be spinning in his grave if he were dead.

Marty's growing frustration as other countries are put through before the inevitable throwing his toys out of the pram as we miss out again is the highlight of the Eurovision for me

We will get 12 points from someone so! Europeans have a weird sense of humour though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,570 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

This was bizarre. Planet Portugal with David Attenburger? Nice BBC rip off Portugal.
