And I absolutely can't believe anyone, anywhere would vote for Sweden. It was dreadful.

Sweden is not that bad in comparison to Israel imo.

The Swedes are an inoffensive bunch. Easy to give them points.

Is comedy this sheite in other EU countries?

I don't know why people were getting so excited about slight movements in bookmakers odds

The voting is always as mad as a bag of cats, there's very little logic to this on any level.

What if it's a draw? Do we get sudden death?

In that case they phone Johnny Logan and ask him to pick the winner.

Lol. I loved that it really annoyed Marty. If they'd given Ireland a few points, he'd have laughed

Not all countries are in the EU.

I lived in The Netherlands from 1998 -2005 and Benny Hill was on prime time tv then.

I had to look up austrian entry on youtube - still no recollection of it

There's obviously a clear bias against UK and Ireland in the Eurovision since the public voting days.

    What's the cause for this?

English language? Are they envious of native english speakers and relate more to each other? Do they consider us more like the US than other europeans?

Commercial success, like Westlife, Take That, Robbie Williams... are they envious of that? What is it due to?

I heard of block-voting, but how do Israel fit into block-voting?

In fairness Jedward did really well both times they represented Ireland, top 10 as far as I can recall.

We just have had sh!te songs every other time. Last years song was utterly dire!

Bookies are psychological geniouses. They knew people would jump on the impulsive betting bandwagon if they dropped the odds so drastically

D'you reckon the juries are like the lads in The Vatican picking the Holy Stone Of Clonrickert as being a class 2 monument?

I've really not liked Ireland's entries in the past few years anyway, this is no different.
