Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Power shower problems

We have a Mira Elite power shower in our en suite. It's approx 5 years old, maybe slightly older.

Recently when turned on it runs for maybe 2 minutes then starts to sound as if it's running out of power - like an engine running out of petrol.

    Any ideas / advice?

    Thanks in advance.

The Mira Elite ST is an electric shower rather than a power shower.

Either the brushes need replacing or the pump is failing. The brushes on that shower are good for 1000 hours of showering so it must get a lot of use.

It's worth replacing the brushes if that's all it is but Mira parts are so expensive that it's not worth replacing the motor. A motor will set you back €200/€220 supplied & fitted. You'll get a new shower supplied & fitted for a little more than extra €100
