Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As bad as this is, I'd genuinely still rather play a bit of football and get a beating than throw ten men behind the ball and pray for a draw.

I hate buying into English hype but he's done so much now that you can't help but accept the fact England now have a world class striker

Klopp has spent 8.9M on the Liverpool defense and goalkeeping position since he arrived. Needs to completely gut that defence bar one or two.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Ox attempting to confuse defender with fancy foot work, ends up confusing himself.

16 goals conceded in 9 games. I don't care what you call him or think of him, Klopps continued ignorance regarding defence is at best reckless and worst totally negligent. Be it tactically or in the market it's mind blowing. Ignoring such a massive area of your job continually gets you sacked in other walks of life.

If he tried to change personal or tactics and it just didn't work that's one thing. But he just seems to not care. He's a lite version of Guardiola

Pool would have been far better off with Moyes.

Yeah he's great in an unfashionable way. He is a scoring machine

Still prefer KDB myself as the best in the league

There's more ways to play. Klopp could do with showing some pragmatism in his approach to games.

will make no odds as he will have muck behind him in midfield and defence

Aurier might be a bit of a nutter but he's a very good fullback.

This Liverpool team are a mess. People go on about the defense, and rightly so, but the midfield is pretty awful too. If we had 1 decent midfielder in front of the back 4, they'd only look reasonably poor, which would be an upgrade on the jaw-dropping shambles they are presently.

Spurs' wage bill is half of Liverpool's.

It just reinforces how bad the latter's investment plan has been.

    This 100%.

He should have taken the coutinho money and sorted defence. Having said that whoever klopp would bring in with the setup and tactics could be made to look average

Over the long term he'll be good. He know's he needs to sort out that defence.

He got away with it in Germany with an exceptional crop of players for two years. Once some of them left you could see what happens when a decent team played with the same tactics of a great team, the struggled badly. Liverpool are closer to the second Dortmund than the first.

To be fair I think Spurs have got their tactics spot on today. The goals we gifted them helping them on their way.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,292 ✭✭✭GreNoLi

    Lloris at his best there.

I think that's a little harsh. He's good for the odd flash of brilliance but he doesn't control games, something you'd expect a world class player to do.
