sat beside them in Murrayfield last week.Booed the anthem. hissed at the haka. giving me the large one every time Scotland scored. Not a word out of them when Barrett bundled hogg into touch. Was surprised at the vitriol.

I'll have to move home if we lose to them in Japan in 2019!

International games are weird though, gets a lot of casuals into Murrayfield and they bring their own "unique" ways.

Andy Robinson is painful to listen to.

In a weird way he sounds like Ugo Monye.

    There's a sentence I thought I'd never say.

Georgia scraped past USA at home by a point. Is that anywhere close to a full strength Georgia side?

Fraser Brown not doing himself any favours suggesting an elbow, you were just sat down with your poor tackling technique. Move on.

I noticed it about 5mins in and thought he'd moved from BT Sport.

Only 0.9 of a ranking point between Australia in 3rd and Ireland in 4th. Would a win against Argentina now be enough to move up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,465 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Even allowing for the fact they are down to 14, some of these Australian players just don't care. The result against New Zealand was a false dawn. Huge issues remain in Australian rugby both at domestic and international level.

Idiotic from Beale, grounding was easier than the scoop.
    Sums up the Aussies today.

    Cheika's a gonner.

Australian rugby looks in the worst shape it's ever been.

Ref completely contradicts what happened to SBW in Paris.

Gauzere says that its just a PK and yellow because Beale would have got there first.

In Paris the offending player is removed from the picture completely and try given.

    They are not consistent.

See Liam Williams tackle in South Africa for further evidence

Exactly, was dumbstruck a penalty try wasn't awarded.

The crowd sticks around to have a long look at the pitch as they won't be bothered to go to another game until the six nations :pac:

Edinburgh play in Myrside, 3 miles away from Murrayfield these days.
They'll be back for the Glasgow derby at Xmas though.

Nicol talking about Laidlaw to come back, he'd seriously weaken that team IMHO.
    Price is the way forward.

Scotland will once again be a handful in the 6 nations for us. Very good autumn for them

Yeah they're not f**king around at all here. Two big performances back to back, still think we'll pump them at home.

    hopefully

I'd love a GS next year but Its getting more difficult each year for all teams. With the exception of Italy all other teams can beat other on any given day

they have had 3 yellows and a red in their favour in the last two games.

15 on 15 away from home will be a leveller.

Refs, partisan crowds in conjunction with biased local tv broadcasters are the real influences these days.

England and the Allblacks two teams that can currently overcome it.

robbed ioane of a try but luckily naholo scored in next phase.

Wales dominating. Saw a stat pop up that they'd only had to make 11 tackles after 24 minutes. New Zealand were on 90. Still winning...

    Barnes dominating.

Wales have had tons of ball and territory but apart from that excellent try they've been remarkably blunt.

I think the real problem is that your front five is a bit lacking in depth.

Biggar trip Barrett with his leg there, incredibly lucky to get away with it.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 392 ✭✭Didactic Ninja

mckenzie gets coathangered and barnes shouts " he ducked into it"

I thought that didn't matter any more? onus is on tackler. protecting the head etc.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 392 ✭✭Didactic Ninja

standard nz yellow. Barnes gonna Barnes.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 392 ✭✭Didactic Ninja

Barrett copped a neck high. Nothing from Wayne

    You enjoyed the game so?

I'm not sure about the rugby, but in terms of crying about the referee it was a masterful display. Just another area we can learn from the ABs and their fans.

    Decent game. Ref was poor.

Was wondering how many yellows did Wales,England,Ireland and Scotland get in this Autumn series ? Did they get any?

Careful there big fella, between our coaches and players you'll be criticising your own soon .

And presumably you watched Ireland vs Argentina which coincided with the game i watched so I am guessing but are you just dismissing my criticisms out of hand or did you think Barnes reffed well? Unless you watched both games concurrently.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 392 ✭✭Didactic Ninja

One think i will give Barnes, is that he doesn't award ruck penalties unless the defending player actually has hands on the ball. He doesn't award pens for people feigning turnovers or just sticking their hands into the ruck and shouting sir sir sir

I'd go out on a limb and say you planned to enjoy whining about the referee and were not disappointed. Any rugby you witnessed was purely incidental.

    That about right?

As I said, I don't know about the rugby. I'm purely commenting on the quality of the whining without being distracted by things as irrelevant as performances.
