Compared to the amateurish game between Connacht & Munster, this is more what I'd expect from the top tier of Irish provincial rugby.

For Ulster, the new 9 looks promising, last kick aside, he's certainly snappy of pass and fleet of foot. Stockdale looks a real keeper, great workrate for a wing. Henderson is bringing some decent physicality. Ulster lineout looks suspect, but surprisingly they are putting some pressure on the Leinster scrum.

For Leinster, RK's positioning has been good, JGP box-kicks have been pretty decent and that was a lovely try from Lamour - I don't think McFadden should ever start on the wing again, with all the other options and Lowe arriving. ROL is surely keeping the centre spot warm for Henshaw or Ringrose, he's a little bit average in the midfield.

Bench will be important, I fancy Leinster to nick this game.

Shorgan is great to listen to, flying through this and no obvious bias. Able to talk up both sides and criticise both sides.

Ferris would do well to have a listen in to his international team mate.

Thanks, in south america and it wont work. Have vpn but not helping. Thought there might be some radio coverage.

BBC have blocked VPNs from accessing the BBC iPlayer unfortunately. Tried earlier and it wasn't working, looked it up and turns out they've stopped any UK VPN accesssing it.

Always like Horgan's comments. I was a huge fan of Ferris as a player, but as a commentator, he is worse than BBCNI.

Great break JGP should have backed himself

    Great opportunism though.

DK showing why he's in the Ireland squad.....

I don't think Dave Kearney should be in the Ireland squad but I've no idea why people are blaming him for that. It was passed behind him at waist level.

Yes. He created the opportunity with a perfectly weighted kick and then ran the perfect support line.

It's a pity JGP messed it up.

    Best is having a meltdown.

Ah Byrne......that's a disappointing cross kick out on the full.

    Christ the lineout....again!

Ulster forwards muck in every set piece. This is Leinster's if they want it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Ah Dave....you can't do that. That could cost us.

I've said this before, there is NO excuse for a professional sportsperson not to be able to throw a ball straight in hall as from a line out.

Watching in a bar but it looked like he should have held it but majority on here seem to disagree so accept that.

Anyway good to have his natural finishing ability

No Luke - we are a back down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

That's very unlucky. It was a tackle attempt for me but the flailing arm..

Larmour doing an awful of seriously good work. Even without the flash try, the guy is having a very fine all round game.

    O’Brien class.

Lol at Ulster fans ironic cheer when a lineout functioned.

Oh well didnt matter, great turnover score!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Ah lovely. SOB is having a good day - I think captaincy is suiting hiim too. And Luke McGrath doesn't usually mess up chances like that.

Whoever tweeted that is an idiot, unless they're just going for humour. Far from "the line at his mercy" regardless of how you feel about the inclusion of D. Kearney in the squad.

    That's a lovely, lovely try.

This is the same sort of stupid sh'te as when people criticised him earlier. So he was meant to get pushed into touch by Piatau?

Again, the momentum had been lost at that stage. Not Dave's fault.

It wasn't at his mercy but he should have done a hell of a lot better.

We’ve been rubbish in the second half. Leinster deservedly ahead.

He wasn't going to make the corner so stepped inside Piutau and recycled possession on the 5 metre line. It was great play.

Olympian levels of self delusion. And titanic cuntishness.

This isn't one of them ffs.

    Ulster's lineout is laughably poor.

Who's Ulster captain now? Seems like no one is in charge.
