    Hi there,

Just a question, are the latching relay used for domestic installation in Ireland ?
In a case of few switches for the same lamp, instead of the 2 way switch + intermediate.
Anybody see / fit that ?

    Thanks :-)

No normally done, but it is permitted.
    Why would you bother?

    Thanks for your answer.
    The reason is a wiring " problem " .
One switch ( will become a push button ) has only 2 wires + earth coming out of the box.
I will have to pass a third one to have it done the " traditional " way. But this would involved too much work ( trunking is going trough wall, insulation, membrane, etc )
It has been wired on purpose for a latching relay at the beginning, but I had a doubt now !

The good thing is that wiring is far more simple with a latching relay too. ( a bit more work in the fuse board though ).

    Thanks, 2011 :-)
