Can someone tell me if it is possible to change the default font for typing into a text field in acrobat. i am filling a form. i did not create the form if that matters. the default fonts seems to Helvetica. I change to arial but it is changed back on reopening .What is the red symbol beside it in the screenshot? Default symbol?

There is no Use Current Properties as New Defaults as at https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1059606 and i do not understand the scripts referred to

And am i right to understand once a fillable form is saved no content can be deleted when reopened?

    Acrobat X1 Pro Win 7 64 bit
