    This is the update from the school on 27 Oct:

    "Site Acquisition for the New School

    Following on from the update regarding the site for the new school at the AGM, a positive meeting was held today with the Department of Education and Skills regarding site acquisition for the new school building. The Department reported that there are three sites under consideration and that the Department are currently in active negotiations with Fingal County Council and landowners. The Department also acknowledged the need for better communication from the Department to the school and have indicted both that this will improve and also that they will come back with an update in two weeks. Hopefully this will happen and the school will keep you appropriately updated in this regard as developments occur."

    That probably means the update will consist of "negotiations are ongoing" we will update you in two weeks.

    From what I see it is an excellent school and there is plenty of available land around Rush so no excuse there. This will probably go through about 10 committees at each level to be stamped and then it will revert back a stage and away we go again.
