Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hario Mini Mill problems :(

    Hi,

I've owned a Mini Mill for about two years now, although I haven't used it as frequently as I'd like. Recently, I got my hands on some good beans and decided to break it out. I'd ground about two hopper-loads before I'd noticed there was a whole load of cracks in the plastic bottle - like in the actual ground-container, not the shell around it. They are everywhere, from near the screw-top threads to the length of the bottle. However, I can't feel them inside or outside the container, suggesting they're in a middle layer between the two. I've looked everywhere online for evidence this has happened to others, and it has, but not from what I can gather to the same extent.

Maybe I shouldn't have opened a thread about it, but I couldn't find another similar one, and all the Hario-related threads are years old and probably wouldn't appreciate being necroed. My question is whether anyone else has experienced this issue or not, and if it's going to get worse over time if so. Also, I can't find any stores that I can get at from here that offer replacement bottles, which I'd prefer over replacing the whole grinder (all the other parts are flawless, contrary to what I've read from other users). Thanks for your time :)

    Did you put into dishwasher?

Can't guarantee this is what you need but looks likely.

Are you referring to the clear plastic container?

If you find a similar thread container, you could screw that on, either. it might work with a glass jar of similar diameter. I have never had this happen to my Mini Mill after many kilograms of grinding.

Yes, that's it. thought you called it a bottle for some reason :/

No, it's never been near a dishwasher. I've just mainly rinsed it out or washed it with warm soapy water when necessary. thanks for the link :)
