That's very disappointing, the man could single handedly make **** of entire packs of forwards by himself. Terrific player. Feels like we've lost two world great test back rows this week.

On the other hand a hape of trees are about to get planted.

Did he every come out and make any statements about Folau?
He was quite vocal during the Potgieter incident and also his marriage pledge, so I found his silence quite jarring.

It's not in his best interests to get involved and people would be well aware of his stance anyway.

i think it absolutely prudent to stay quite on that issue !!!

Pocock retiring from test rugby after the world cup. He's struggling with a calf injury and isn't expected to appear for the Brumbies again.

That’s very disappointing. Probably my favourite rugby player of all time. Was unplayable in a lot of games. A joy to watch. It’s a pity he’s off to Japan and not Europe so we’d see a bit more of him.

Rumours that Nonu is going to return to Toulon next season as cover for Basteraud who is off to Major League Rugby for a season. Thats a big coup for MLR.

i dont think hes going to make the RWC squad, which was probably the reason he returned to the blues.

According to NZ fans that is exactly what his plan was, he wanted to try and get back into the squad. He has done fairly well according to reports but will not make the NZ WC squad

In that case he will be back for a big payday before retirement

Here's the England side to face the Barbarians. There was a bit of chatted about Cipriani being involved. But again he's nowhere near the team.

    15.Simon Hammersley (Newcastle Falcons)
    14 Piers O’Conor (Bristol Bears)
    13 Joe Marchant (Harlequins)
    12 Johnny Williams (Newcastle Falcons)
    11 Josh Bassett (Wasps)
    10 Marcus Smith (Harlequins)
    9 Alex Mitchell (Northampton Saints)

    1 Ross Harrison (Sale Sharks)
    2 Tom Dunn (Bath Rugby)
    3 Ehren Painter (Northampton Saints)
    4 Elliott Stooke (Bath Rugby)
5 Josh Beaumont (Sale Sharks) captain
    6 Alex Dombrandt (Harlequins)
    7 Ben Curry (Sale Sharks)
8 Teimana Harrison (Northampton Saints, 5 caps)

    Finishers
16 Tommy Taylor (Wasps, 1 cap)
    17 Beno Obano (Bath Rugby)
18 Paul Hill (Northampton Saints, 5 caps)
    19 Will Spencer (Leicester Tigers)
    20 Tom Ellis (Bath Rugby)
    21 Ben White (Leicester Tigers)
    22 Callum Sheedy (Bristol Bears)
    23 Ben Loader (London Irish)

Chris Ashton was on The Rugby Pod and himself and Andy Goode discussed it, they reckon there's still a chance he could get called up into the training squad for the RWC considering the squad for the babas game is extremely young and more a chance for Eddie to see how the younger lads get on.

Pat Lam (coaching the Babas) said that the RFU refused the request to call him up for the Barbarians team (in addition to not making this England team) and Lam is of the opinion he's in the world cup squad (or at least training squad) similar to other players who were refused.

You would expect that Barbarians team to annihilate that England team.

Could this be Brock James' last ever game?

Marcus Smith should run riot against the babas though considering they're generally all over the shop defensively, should be an exciting game.

Moved to -10 now. I'm considering Piutau @11/1 for first try scorer.

Reports in the Aussie media that Folau was compromising with the ARU on taking his social media posts down until his father intervened.

Not sure how true that is considering the initial reports were that the ARU could not get in contact with him in the days following the posts.

its as bad as the previous one....

i still dont understand why the word 'warriors' gets precedence over the word 'glasgow'?

Part of the club's identity since the dawn of professionalism in 1996, the eponymous Warrior remains the centrepiece of the new badge, which has been refreshed to give an updated and modern feel.

Because some creative thought it sounded good in his spiel for selling the design.

nah, the word warriors had precedence on the old logo too, long before the "warrior nation" fan club started.

their first logo was the GRUD cross with "glasgow" under... which morphed into Glasgow Rugby, but still the word glasgow was biggest...

i just dont understand why they have given prominence to the word warriors over glasgow.... its like what youd expect from an american football franchise.

In all seriousness it’s probably an attempt to not solely tie the team to Glasgow. So it can appeal to others in the surrounding areas.
