I see the Aussie women's 7s team won their home tournament without conceding a single point.

    Fair dinkum.

    mightn't have conceded a point....
but did take a bit of a hit from the russians ;)

Not sure she makes any contact there. The Aussie girl got up and played on without a bother anyway.

Was listening to The Hard Yards at the weekend and I thought it was fascinating to hear Tomas O'Leary's take on the difference between "celtic" rugby and the rugby played in France/England.

According to him the preperation levels put in overseas are nowhere near the standard of those in the Pro 14, in terms of analysis etc. I wonder if he just ended up in bad situations at LI and Montpellier...

I can't even imagine an in-depth analysis session with the Montpellier squad. When you have a group of players of vastly different backgrounds cobbled together there's a limit to what you can teach them collectively in a short space of time.

    NZ’s most valuable exports

    1) Meet & Wool
    2) Dairy products
    3) Rugby coaches
    4) Honorable mention Swiwi

Chris Boyd off to resurrect Northampton. That is a good signing.

Either spell checking software is not a NZ export or there's a different interpretation of "meet and wool" that us more refined types can't quite decipher. :P

It's a New Zealand dating website. Does well in Wales, hence the exports.

Ah, that explains it. I believe it does well in Kildare too. :pac:

Didn't see it posted anywhere but Haskell is leaving Wasps at the end of the season. Any idea where he'd be off to?

Rumours of him going to Bristol were floating about in the last week or two.

They had some poorly researched article where they commented on the death of a fan or something (it was a high profile terminal illness case, where the fan in question had been raising money). Anyway, ultimately the person in question had not yet died. It was a bloody awful thing to do.

I'm pretty sure that if they've sacked him he is released from any restrictive covenants in his contract, could be different in SA and I'm not even overly familiar with the enforcement side of those covenants here so who knows.

Despite this I'm not sure what else Coetzee has to say, he has already given SARU both barrel's in his recent letter.

SARU have traditionally been reasonable with coaches and given them time to turn things around. Coetzee would long since have been sacked by any other top 8 team. Maybe not France, but his position was completely untenable and it's ironically only the wins over France that bought him an extra few months.
