I wouldn't disagree with him. Eddie has gone up in my estimation. :D

Game finished Samoa 26 - 10 Spain, so not too disastrous in the end!

A quick question in relation to the Irish Rugby Supporters Club's forum. It appears to be down for the last couple of days. Wondering has it been down long or if there are plans to resurrect it?

    The 7s always seems to throw up a try line gaffe;

    * Japan dropping the ball during a swam dive
    * Kenyan player getting bundled into touch when slowly placing the ball
    * Irish girl getting thumped when putting the ball down

I still can't get over it.

It's kind've like when your 3rds are short so you grab one of the local GAA lads to fill in and he tries to score a try by diving over the 22...

Or when Karmichael Hunt swatted that ball out of play and got himself sent off

I never knew you played GAA.

Probably enough to make the Kildare team these days.

Another reason to be glad Ulster didn't get stuck in the Challenge Cup next year.

Good for him. Hope he gets the opportunity to show the quality of player he is away from the scrutiny of social media.

Unless they sign another 10 beside him he'll get A LOT of opportunities to show that!

Bit of a change from being an Irish international playing for Ulster... don't think Perpignan have anyone else of note at 10 at all...

I'd say he'd have gotten the loudest cheer Ravenhill has to offer had he arrived there with Perpignan next season.

Most definitely. The "protests" outside Ravenhill after the trial proved as much.

Anyways, delighted Jackson gets another shot, hope he keeps his head down and plays well.

He would have. It's still better that it's not happening.

Probably, there is going to be a bit of huff and puff aimed at Perpignan over the next few days and a fixture next season would bring that all back up and probably have Ulster / IRFU on the PR backfoot once more.

A year or two out of the media should allow for the discussion to move on but I don't expect to see him on any RTE panels anytime in the future.

Good for him, a few weeks ago it wasn't looking good about joining any top European League, but great to see he can now move on with his life

What a signing for perpignan too, a top quality international fly half. Will be keeping an eye on them next season

Of course, as demonstrated by this forum, there's plenty of people willing to overlook many things.

    Like a not guilty verdict?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,557 ✭✭✭Dubinusa

I am glad for him. He's innocent in the eyes of the law. He is a knob for the post trial statement, no argument there. He's been punished enough for stupid comments made on social media and has been made a pariah. Same as Olding, who's behavior on social media was much worse. I believe that in the end, the sponsors decided his fate and the IRFU lackeys had no choice but to ostracize both of them.
    Good luck to them both.
