Good luck to everyone. Enjoy what is a brilliant running weekend. I wish I had followed through with my original plan to run this now because Im having serious pangs.. Theres always next year and the lesson, that your never as unfit as you think you are, has been learned. Give it waski and enjoy.

Name on the front, other number on the back.
It's so the photographers can tag you even if you're face down :)

    Dear God, it's hot

    Some other notable Irish running who are probably looking to scrape onto the team for Berlin with a big performance here;

    David Flynn (66.31 HM/Debut)
    Emmett Dunleavy (68.18 HM/Debut)
    Mark Kirwan (2.19.30)

Time for the real thread to start - this morning is definitely one of the highlights of the "watching race splits from people you vaguely know from the Internet" season :)

Oh and best of luck for anybody doing the race and inexplicably checking boards 5 minutes before it starts.

Looks like Krusty and Dublin runner are together. Has KielyUnusual been replaced in a new budding marathon bromance?

Emmet Dunleavy thru 10k in 34:13, savage

Emmet Dunleavy thru 10k in 34:13, savage

Fairly conservative start which bodes well hopefully.

    KC thru 10k in 35:25

But slowing down for 15k predicted time now: 2:31:14 ...

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,016 ✭✭✭Itziger

66 Lad gone out very aggressively. Runn8ng with Ray C it seems. Do they know one another? KC had a slightly slower 5k there. Is it breezy or warm does anyone know?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,292 ✭✭✭DubOnHoliday

    Pretty warm apparently

    Too hot?

Yep, not gonna be the day unfortunately for KC : must be the heat 15C feeling like 16C . With the winter we had any bit of sun and your PB is toast... :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 606 ✭✭✭echancrure

KC half in 1:15:29 (but slowing) impressive but not PB time

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,340 ✭✭✭TFBubendorfer

Dublin Runner is about 10 seconds behind Krusty.

And now it's projected 2:33. Not good.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,016 ✭✭✭Itziger

Yeah but the predicted must be from gun time. He's not far off pb on Half time. Difficult I know, but...

the splits don't reflect the predicted finishing time, they look slightly more optimistic
