Unless Sully has a yellow mug on her desk that she expects us to know about ....

Nothing's jumping out at me either. Some "could" be yellow, like Jupiter (a bit yellowy), or thumb (the thumb emoticon is usually yellow), but not really obvious connections, so I've nothing either really.

i do like the yellow thumb emoticon link! Never would have thought of that, but seems obvious after you said it. I'm willing to gamble if you are. I'll leave the decision up to you though.

Can I ask how many words for each team are left? Is that against the rules?

You're only saying that because PJ called you a coward :P

    I *am* a coward though. Not a natural risk-taker.

And that PJ is pushing for us to guess makes me think I'm on the wrong lines anyway.

    Unless it's a double bluff.

If the final decision is with me, then I say pass, but don't let that stop you if you want to take a risk.

I believe there are 9 red words and 8 blue words; uneven since red goes first I'm guessing.

If my calculations are correct, you need to guess another four words...

I thought that red needs two, blue needs 1.

But, please do guess four words this turn.

    PASS

    PASS

My calculations have been known to be often intentionally incorrect.

That is one of those times where it was unintentionally incorrect.

Uh so we need to get 2 red words from Jay's next clue? Ah ****.

No not quite, we have some left over evidence. I'm ignoring all their clues below.

    Clue 1
Red = Warlord 2 (Ruler, Fighter, Pass) -- 99% sure these are both correct
Blue = Dark 2 (Cold, Night, Pass)

    Clue 2
Red = Snooker 2 (Triangle, Cliff, Pass) - CLIFF could have been an lucky guess, not the actual clue

    Clue 3
Red = Homestore 2 (London - wrong) - 1 word still left from this clue
Blue = Pyramids 1 (Egypt, pass)

    Clue 4
Red = Discard 3 (shop, nail - wrong) - SHOP is from HOMESTORE
Blue = Orchestra 1 (Conductor, pass)

    Clue 5
Red = Semiaquatic 3 (platypus, litter - wrong) - LITTER is wrong guess at DISCARD
    Blue = Hitman 2 (contract, bomb )

    MUG
    DROP
    FOOT
    PART
    JUPITER
    CZECH
    BUTTON
    THUMB

1 clue for HOMESTORE and 1 clue from DISCARD in the above list

    HOMESTORE Possible answers:

    MUG
    PART
    BUTTON
    -all homely items

    DISCARD possible answers:

    DROP
-I can't see any other fitting that

Agree on the above. Definitely about DROP as the discard answer.

Jay's use of the number 3 with both DISCARD and SEMIAQUATIC though has confused me. There's not 3 discard words there and there's not 3 semiaquatic words there. So I assume he means there's maybe 1 and the 2 other words we're missing.

Well after playing the captain last round, I realised you can give your team extra guesses as the game goes on to recoup missed guesses early on.

So for example, SEMIAQUATIC can clearly only apply to one word: PLATYPUS, yet Jayop said 3 meaning he wants to try and use the 2 extra guesses at previously missed clues. We missed one from HOMESTORE and one from DISCARD. Does that make sense?

Unless SEMIAQUATIC actually does describe another word and I'm way off here. Jayop can give us another clue soon anyway.

I think we can ignore CZECH as I think that's the blue teams word. If you look at this colour wheel you can clearly see that yellow is opposing red and blue as primary colours, which are the two colours that make up the Czech flag.

Oh I do understand the tactic but whenever I've played this previously I just keep track of the ones I've missed so that I can come back to them. I think putting the 3 just confuses people (ie me). For example I know that we've missed one of the HOMESTORES words. So I don't think the captain needs to add that onto the next clue. I'd rather just know for sure that SEMIAQUATIC only has 1 related word on the board.

But this is the tactics stuff I was gonna mention to Jay once the game was over. I think we should go with DROP as our next guess unless he has some stormer of a word for the next clue.

Agreed. Then he only needs to use one word to describe the last one.
