    It is that lad from Ennis afaik and I've been told he was shot in the leg as he refused to lower the gun.

    Looks like the garda responded to a report of a young man being seen in the SC with a rifle.
    Obviously there was no sign of him and that it was a hoax or a mistake.
    Either way they had to respond. Thankfully nobody was injured or killed.

    There were reports that there was a lad that matched the description of the missing teen in the centre, the person who phoned the garda did not say he was armed but as the garda had been informed he may have been armed they took precautions.

    Not a hoax, just a member of the public informing the garda they believed someone who matched the description of a missing person was there.

    Seems he didn't venture too far from home.

    I've just read that his girlfriend had a baby boy the day after his body was found..heartbreaking stuff. His poor family :(
