Studying psychology?

I'm doing the leaving cert this year, and I really would love to do psychology in UL, but I'm worried I won't get the points. Would I be better off to do psychology through arts in mary I (4 years), or just the pure psychology degree in W.I.T?(3 years) if I don't get my points. Both are accredited.
